@MichaelW @aris @dcarstens @TonyGDTLA As I was making the long drive home after our meet-up, and was stuck in horrible traffic on the 10, the 110, the 5, the 134, AND the 210, along with millions of other people making their way home after a day at the beach, all I could think the entire way is that I really wish that wasn't such a shitty drive for me... because I can't see not doing it again any chance I get!

(Next time I think I'm taking Pico all the way down... those freeways are a mess.)

FYI: If we do it earlier its less of an issue. You have to leave before 2:30-3:00 to avoid heavy traffic. Its just that most of us couldn't get there till noon or later on that day... @thegreck

And we had a run-in with the police on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. They basically wanted to know all the same things everyone else did, and said they snowboard so they might have to get one. Then they said have a nice day and drove off.

@groovyruvy No, I live about 10 miles east of Pasadena. I just ride my Onewheel about a mile to catch the train, and BOOM... 1.75 hours and three connections later, I'm right in the heart of Santa Monica. It's actually less time than it takes me to drive it when the traffic sucks (which it usually does), without the headaches of dealing with LA drivers.

I have to be back by around 4pm for a thing I gotta go to... so I'm thinking I can ride from 11am till around 2pm. So who else can give us a HELL YEAH?

It looks like we have five people so far (and I'm hoping @mranderson and his son can make it too, but I haven't heard from him yet), but it's definitely enough for a meetup, so let's do this!

I think the OG LA meetup master himself, @MichaelW, is in, so Saturday at 11am we can meet at his car in the parking lot to the south of the hotel Casa del Mar by the Santa Monica boardwalk (I'd say 'just like the old days,' but I think everyone but me and Michael might be new to the LA meetup), otherwise we can just meet in front of the hotel (ocean side).
