I pulled my OW from my trunk with my girlfriend and brother and this man who was in running gear looks over at me and says "I haven't seen one of those for about 10 years..."

everyone looks at each other

Me: "Do you travel time? 10 years? You know what this is?"

Him: "Yea, I have seen those about 10 years ago"

Me: "Uh, Im not so sure man, this is pretty new" as I press button to engage board

laughing in background

Him: "My friend used to have one and he used it all the time"

I stand up on the board - staying still

Him: "Yea he was good at it, he could stay up on it for-- Holy shit thats cool what is that?! I thought it was just a balance board!" As I speed away

Laughing in background increases

This is exactly why I think we need one of those dukes of hazard horns which is ideal for as your driving away :)

@Seekwence I had the same experience yesterday. I was showing it to a couple of friends, and was just standing on it and explaining how it works when this woman walking by said, "I tried one of those 20 years ago and fell off and hurt my shoulder!"

I said, "How did you try one 20 years ago? They were just invented about 2 years ago!"

She said, "No, they had them 20 years ago."

I said, "One of these?"

She said, "Yes, a balance board."

I said, "This isn't a balance board." And I started to ride around.

She said, "Oh, yeah. That's different."
