@kelp If you know of any, let us know and we'll add them!
-
@thegreck nice touch with the -o- POI icons :)
-
That's a great start! In Google My Maps you can also add photos or video to each marker; it would be awesome to see each location from the eyes of a rider!
-
Very good idea! Only too bad there are almost no riders in my area :-)
Add this please: 50°54'51.2"N 5°28'07.4"E

@Count I am going to hit cocoa so we can carve up some sand on my way through this year for sure.... :) I head up to Orlando several times a year :)

I would like to add a place in the Atlanta area. Single track right on the river. 2 trails. (1/2 mile and 3/4 mile) Better yet. 4 outlets within 100 feet of the trails for charging with picnic tables.
-
@atl1wheelin This is an existing spot? Or a wishlist spot?

Woohoow, first in Europa!
-
@thegreck Existing spot.

I think this needs a bump!
-
@Polle Totally! I was really surprised at the lack of response to what I thought was a great idea!
If people would submit their favorite spots (a Google pin, the name of the spot, and any descriptive text specific to the Onewheel that you want to go along with it), we can add it to the map and get this thing fully populated. That way, people can take advantage of it when traveling to other places.
-
Think I am up to date on adding folks to edit. DM if I missed you.
-
Also LA riders are owning this map!

A
@shaunabe I have a few spots to add. First is the cape may point state park in New Jersey. Both the beach and the nature trails are great to ride on. Also about a mile away is a circle if you look at the map and that is also a nice well maintained grass park with some small rolling hills with some sand patches and obstacles. Last place in Cape May Point is sunset beach if you zoom out you can see trails that run behind the beach and it is a nice mix of grass and sand that eventually puts you onto the beach

@shaunabe Northern Ireland spots added.. Thanks

I know of a few good sections in Portland, OR that I normally hit up! But would be nice to know if we could use some of the dirt trails in the hundreds of miles and trails there are up in Forest Park as well as on Mt. Hood at Ski Bowl on their Mtn. Bike and walking trails in the summer time. But my favorite section cruise so far is along the waterfront form the Pearl District in Portland, OR all the way to the new Tillikum Bridge Crossing & back. Its about a 6-7mile ride. About an hour riding time.
Another favorite is just cruising up and down some popular streets at nighttime after having a drink with some buddies at the bar. Hop on an cruise down 21st and 23rd ave as well....night riding, so much fun and relaxing!
-
@Wakeboarder54 nice one. Going to do this tomorrow, go for a ride and stop at the bar for a pint to charge up, answer 100 questions and move on.. Onewheel has the power to make anyone super cool!
-
@thehoff Where u live Hoff??
-
@Wakeboarder54 I live in a small town called donaghadee in Northern Ireland about 15 miles from Belfast. Onewheel causes a stir every time I ride.
-
@thehoff That's tight! Yea Ireland would be some sick countryside to onewheel around on! Shred On!! :)
-
14 miles around the Belfast Bangor coastal path!! Carving up a storm! ![alt text](image url)![0_1472305385304_image.jpg](Uploading 100%)

@Wakeboarder54
Night driving is really fun and safe because of the lights on it. Theyre bright enough to see the terrain, and cars can see the rear light. Im glad they built the lights in. Otherwise I would be forever searching for good lights and how to attatch them.. -
I would gladly contribute some favorite spots from the Boston area. Not sure there are any other riders here to take advantage of it, though....
-
I have a nice park to ride 2 minutes away. Elevated mode for some hill surfing!

Taking a breather from dodging pedestrians at Venice Beach -
@groovyruvy There's something off about this photo, but I can't put my finger on what it is...
-
@thegreck I think it's the dude gettin swoll in the background. /s
-
@thegreck yeah.. Is it the red and white stickers on the onewheel!? 😜

Only an Irishman would see anything wrong with those beautiful colors together. 'Merica!
-
@hustle that guy was there for days doing pull-ups! I got tired of waiting for the shot to clear :)
-
@thehoff @thegreck the red + white is conspicuity tape, same thing used on trailers and such to make them more visible. Reflects very nicely when hit with light, so a nice way to boost visibility for night rides.
-
@groovyruvy Haha... I was referring to the photo being upside-down.
-
@hustle red, white and blue man! Ulster flag and uk colours 😜
-
@thegreck that's weird, it shows right-side-up on my screen
-
@groovyruvy Looks right to me as well
-
@groovyruvy upside down on my screen
-
@thehoff sorry bout that, not sure what's going on. For me it's rightside up, but if I click on it it 's upside-down.
-
@groovyruvy no worries. We are all just pissed he can do pull-ups all day!!
-
if anyone in the LA area is interested in riding please let me know. I know every inch of Venice Beach and the boardwalk, and find it to be one of my favorite rides. If you're into testing the limits of your board and riding abilities, I've got an awesome westside spot we can charge. Large grass field with steep grassy side berms- fantastic for dropping into and carving up and down on.

It probably has to do with what device we're all viewing it on. I'm on an iPad.
