Also ordered the fender now! Pricing on all parts seems reasonable given the price of the product. I wonder if they replace batteries with the service inspection or just let you know if your batteries need to be upgraded for an extra cost I'd hope that would be included for what they are charging. 100 bucks sounds fine for a tire change. After a couple months of riding mine is still in great condition.

The wording suggests that replacing the battery is not included.

What happened to the discount for Kickstarter backers. That was promised by them for the fender.

Why so much for the fender??? Foot pads are only $50 with a built in sensor, wood, grip tape, and assembly time, but a piece of round plastic stamped out by a machine in .5 seconds that probably weighs less than a Frisbee is $85. Why??? I am obviously missing something here.

@J-Glide Engineering, cost, development, umm, third party, something something help me here...can justify because it's only a small percentage of board cost, umm....maybe cause it's first run. I'm too tired to come up with other ideas to make me feel better. haha =) All I know is my right shoe may start to actually match the left shoe again.

Anyone in Australia want to go for a group buy to save on shipping?

Shipping is 58% the cost of a new fender alone, little steep for a single order.

I´ve decided not to buy the fender, but to actually vaccum form it myself. The price is reasonable, but I figured that for the same cost, I can build my own, and learn something new along the way =D

So. T'was a rainy day, and it was time to ride home.
Now I faced a tough choice. Wet and dirty pants and shoes, or quickly come up with a makeshift fender.

Worked surprisingly well, but I need to get something proper, that's for sure.
Paying 135$ (+ VAT and customs most likely) for a fender is a bit steep =/ But it does look really good.

@njcustom Haha, that's what I thought. I'm expecting that wait for the most part just because they are still backed up on boards, so naturally thought it may be the case with fenders too.

Winter is coming so I'd like a fender sooner than later if I happen to be riding and get caught in the rain.

So far riding around on a dirt trail and pebble ridden parking lot it keeps everything off your back leg as the fender sits flush with the foot pad...Only thing is small twigs and brush make a sound like they are stuck in there and rubbing against the wheel. They obviously dont stop or throw you and they go away eventually...Speeding up helps! It's cool so far. Those in wet weather will need it this winter.

@veryous growling sounds and rumbling motor started yesterday. Sounds familiar to what others have experienced to which the only solution is to send it in for service. I contacted support yesterday...still waiting for a response. I am a five day ship from ca so that is two weeks just for shipping. Then it sounds like service times are not what they used to be so I'm assuming I'll be out of commission for over a month.

Just got my OneWheel :). I will soon begin the digital camo vinyl wrap job on the fender and the side rails of the board. I'll post pictures tomorrow when it's done. The vinyl company sent me the wrong camo, but no biggie, I'll go with it. If I don't like it, I'll change it.

@veryous check this out. rumbling or grinding noise

There is a noise and motion you can feel happening in the wheel before I start moving. Start moving and the noise gets worse.

I've been riding for about three months now and this is my first issue. Can't ride it this way. Along with the noise you can feel resistance and I probably can't get above 8 mph right now.

Fm responded back today asking for a video and a screenshot of my settings probably to confirm what they believe to be the issue.

One thing to note is I just realized one of the small screws on the hub holding to motor is missing. I wonder if junk could get into the hub through it. image.jpeg

    here is another vid
