I used to keep this in my back seat and roll the passenger seat all the way back to keep it in place. I recently discovered a trick in my Jeep to put one of my back seats down, lay the OW on that, and secure it down with a single elastic cargo tie down that conveniently hooks into some loops. [Take a look at this picture (behind passenger front seat). This is a different car but same idea and works flawlessly.] (http://www.wkjeeps.com/interior/Wk_Cargo_dimensions_01.jpg)

Floorboard behind my seat in the Jeep works just fine.

@Dmonicle I kinda like that. How many gallons is that container? Seems like I could throw all my pads and stuff in there too. My car is covered in dirt from my OW.

@regulat0r I don't know the gallons, I just went and found one that was 31" from corner to cross corner.

I have been needing to do something about this as well. I'm surprised my quarter panels or trunk are not dented from the inside. With the OW in the trunk, the trunk becomes a blender and anything in there is slowly destroyed.
I have 2 hold downs in the trunk. I am going to find 2 short bungy cords I can suspend the OW between.

this seems to work well and I don't have to undo the strap each time. Gonna throw a bike lock in there to for when I stop somewhere.

that's a handle I bought from @thegreck it works great for getting the OW in and out of my jeep. He sells them here and I recommend them.

@augie09 And if you're still curious on the "why," the product description at our store sums it up pretty well: http://bit.ly/2cDb3x7
