@Nat its for the metal one I made myself - I planed to use the bolts going through the wooden plates - they aren't long enough though to go through the metal and then the wood plate :( will have to try some velcro or magnetic approach - or maybe admit defeat and buy one and spend £25 on shipping :(

@eish I see! I think you should give FM's version a try anyway. Really pleased with mine. But then again I'm useless at making things lol!
-
@eish Any news on the bolts? Let me know if you do admit defeat and order one as i'm now considering it.. You mentioned pooling orders to keep shipping costs down, how'd you reckon that works?

Could someone please take a photo of the fm fender I want to see what it looks like where it meets the wheel from the side and then just a side photo of the bottom of the fender
Thanks in advance :) -
@libertine order two, only pay one postage, one customs fee and then post out yours/mine via uk courier

Matthew,
I am seriously thinking of getting a one wheel, but even the good people at future motion can't tell me how much it will actually cost to get one in to the UK, after having allowed for the cost itself, the shipping, and then the tax and customs duties. Do you have any idea how much it is in the end?
Thank you very much
Aidy -
I paid £1381.03 I did have a $100 discount so break down is
£1084.31 onewheel and shipping minus discount
....£11.00 ups fees
....£61.85 duties (6% I think)
..£223.87 vat
£1381.03 totalthe duties were calculated on the value of the one wheel $1499 at the date UPS processed the import so can't guess it on day of purchase

I'll be in town for a whole month! Starting December 13th Def down to meet up and ride :)
-
I'm in the Greater London area these days, haven't had any trouble with any law enforcement types yet, but I also haven't tried riding in Central London. I'd like to ride through Hyde Park...

Any updates on your mudguard Eish? Hope you managed to get the bolts sorted before all the rain :umbrella:
Just a general question for those who have already received their boards... How does customs work!?
Just received tracking so obviously really excited about getting my board but wondering if it will be sitting in some office for a week before I get informed and have to make an expensive phone call ... Or will UPS turn up with a bill from her majesty?
Any info much appreciated, cheers guys!

Hi, I've just received tracking. Any idea how long it will take to get here? I ordered on October 21st and I was told delivery would be at the end of December. Looks like it will be, but I'm still hoping to have it by Christmas.
Does anyone know how you pay the Customs Duty?
Many thanks
Jon.
-
C
@Jon It took one week. You can track its movement via the UPS website. I had to pay £295 to the delivery driver for taxes and duties.
-
J
Hi, Thanks for that. I may yet get it for Christmas. I'm based in Southend by the way. Jon.

J
@Jon I did get before Christmas! Loving it so far. ☺
