@njcustom No, and i'm sure it goes lower with regular use. I ride on a mix of street, boardwalk, and sand. I've tried 16-17 and it was a noticeable difference. Nothing I couldn't easily control, but just didn't feel as soft and smooth. I would only ride 16+ if I knew I was going on a completely smooth surface and needed to get better mileage out it for a long trip.

It's all personal preference.I do trail asphalt everything. I just took a little air out from whatever air pressure it is when you get it.

@DVO the book says 20 so you would think it would come with 20.. But mine came with 17

I ride 16-17 on all surfaces, but now gonna test with 13-14 if it really is more fun like this...
-
@Polle much better at 13-14 in my opinion.. I still got 7 miles too

I weight 190 pounds, what weight is the recommended to learning?
-
@Dariusz I'm roughly 190 and I always ride at 14psi.. To hard makes the tire very square and to soft will be squishy..
-
175 lbs and always try to keep it in the 13-15 range.
-
I like 11-13 range. 170 here.

I am 225lbs/100kgs; I started out at what I thought was 18 PSI; after a while bought a new pump, turns out I'd been riding at around 12-14... very cushy.
So then I tried to ride at the recommended 20 PSI - it felt quite unstable but it did give me an extra 2km - it would say doable on tarmac, not much fun off-road.
I generally now ride around at 14-16.

I'm 190 lbs and I noticed when my pressure was close to 15 psi that the outer edge of the tire was wearing very fast. I actually can see the threads in the tire along the edge now. I inflated it to 22psi, and now it's just fine. The wear is now where it should be spread over the entire surface of the tire. It's a little less stable, but I'd rather that than be replacing a tire soon. I also get more distance out of the battery now.

I weigh 190 and ride at 20-22 psi. I'm mostly on tarmac but find it fine for some off road work. Ride at the pressure that makes you happy.

@J-Glide if you ride over a wet surface it will wet the tire enough to gauge your surface area touching the ground.. It's a easy way to tell if pressure is to low/high.. If that makes any sense lol.. I think 22 is alot.. To square for me atleast

@njcustom Great suggestion!

I'm clearly an outlier, but I ride Hoosier tires at between 40-50PSI. Weigh 220lbs.
Nimble, quick and less rolling resistance.
