Woah! Super cool. Do you have logs somewhere? It's showing 85 miles odometer, but it should be 340.
-
@akraut Good to know... I will see if I made a mistake. Very possible considering I just got it.
-
I'm showing only 58 lifetime miles, that's a bit short! Great start on a web based app. Keep up the good work!
-
@jim Thanks. Same issue @akraut was having. I must either be grabbing the wrong value and mistook it for Lifetime Odometer or the unit isn't in Miles.
-
Just wanted people to know that I added some more things: Fixed the bug @jim and @akraut were experiencing and added web notifications so you can have the app on in the background and get a notification when your battery is at 100.
-
@drewbaumann Thanks for the update. I'm out of town till next weekend so won't be able to do any testing until I get home...
-
Can confirm. I forgot I had the tab open and suddenly a popup told me battery was now charged! :D Works pretty well.

hey guys i havn'te looked at this in detail but always be cautious when you are granting some entity you dont know access and permissions to your computer :D
-
@kelp Chrome is handling the permission granting and it only grants access to the single bluetooth device you specify. It's also not holding that grant past the single page-load. (ie: reload the page, ask for permission again.)

@thegreck it's pretty crazy that @Future-Motion still hasn't done any further improvements on their app. I would love for them to add some new riding modes but I fear it is just wishful thinking.
-
@ahxe45 Have they done any firmware updates since releasing the product?

Exactly. It's a new technology for web clients and I think it's awesome that I can take advantage of it. I made this with charging in mind. Imagine you rode to a coffee shop, plugged in the Onewheel to charge, and took out your laptop to do a little work. Now you can easily see your stats and get a notification when it's filled up.

Yes. Mostly for the best, but one of them made pushback kick in earlier. This makes it safer for less experienced riders, but makes it a literal pain for more experienced riders because we have to fight to keep the nose down so much of the time.
-
@thegreck I can see how that would be frustrating. I had my first ride with a friend and it was a ton of fun.
-
@drew Your app saved me Friday night. I couldn't get either POwheel or the official OneWheel app to connect, but your webapp did. Loaded it up right on my phone.
-
@akraut Nice! I've never used it on an android phone. That's cool that it worked out for you. What were you checking or were you tracking battery as you rode?
-
@drew I ended up doing both.
-
@drew "Chrome adds Official Web Bluetooth support..."
-
@akraut I'm pretty surprised! They wanted to release it fully in January, but the start of February is great.
