    @ZeeMox
    My position on new tech has always been get it if you can find value in it. Then take care of it the best you can so good value remains for someone to buy down the road when the next gen version comes along (and Vx will always be just around the corner to some extent). Live and enjoy life now otherwise you will find yourself waiting for what is next....

    My only regret on the OW is not riding it more. LOL. Damn priorities......

    @No Define old, lol.

    What njcustom said, this thing is part of my "everyday routine".

    I saw it at the Surf Expo in Orlando and bought it from Ron Jon surf shop a couple days later.

    Re- painted, bucket fender installed, sensor modded, aftermarket grip tape, 3 months and a few days and I'm seeing threads in the tread.

    New Hoosier tire shipped and arriving soon,. Mileage and speed in my signature.

    These are good reasons to buy it

    Also I meet people interested in it that say they have seen me riding weeks prior to meeting me.

    Rock Star status engaged...

    I've had my 2 OW's for a year now, and I still get stoked to go ride even when most rides are errands around town(i don't get angry when I forget my wallet anymore). I've changed tires on both OW's now with combined mileage over 3300 miles , crashed them multiple times, never submerged it but rode in rain a time or 10, shared it with countless even random people. I snowboard and surf and my good surfing brother calls it his "Surfing Trainer" which it does benefit/enhance any other board riding.

    I regret not buying 4! More OW's =More Fun

    @ashewheeler said in V2? And what makes this worth $1500?:

    I was just at HQ last week and saw nothing hinting that a V2 was being worked on..<

    do they have a drive-thru? are you an investor?

    @mrb I am working on some overlay concave deck concepts and managed to get a meeting with a few of the crew to show them what I've been developing. Amazing experience exceeded my expectations in every way to get a look @ the epicenter of the wheel. The crew was super gracious! The magic of the onewheel made more sense to me after meeting the people behind it! They work endlessly often through the night to keep this magic under our feet. Turns out it takes alot of sugar free monster drinks to keep the planet onewheeling!

    Is there any evidence at all that there is a V2?? I saw one mention of a tire laying around and it seems that one thing triggered this?? Is that the case or is there actual concrete evidence somewhere?

    V2 will be here. I know for a fact they are working on it. Bottom line the Onewheel is so worth the price of admission. I am blown away. Honestly if it was 3 grand I would still buy it. But I am a fan boy... Lol... The only thing is its possible that V2 will not be a high end board but a cheaper plastic version that they can mass market. Regardless just pull the trigger on a nice used one if your really worried about it. Then sell it when V2 comes out if you like it better. You will have only lost a few hundred bucks and you will have gotten that easily in FUN POINTS! Just saying...

    @tanglewood it's not a "toy"

    1. I am sorta too old, but not by the average here.
    2. I have chronic physical issues like you wouldn't believe.
    3. When I got it, I was way to poor to own one.
    4. Stop being a f-in p-ssy and buy the damn thing cause it's that F-ing worth it.
      Do what you gotta do to raise the money, sell a kidney, pimp out a friend you may not like so much, maybe think about how bad some handies in a back Ally really would be... I mean, cmon parts are parts right ? We're talking onewheel.

    Get that shit done. Get out there. Wait wait... I took some Vicodin, maybe this advice isn't totally 100% reliable...

    @Aaron-Broward-FL There's reason to believe OW-ing may actually be a way to "treat" some of those chronic physical issues.

    What SaturnOne said, When I first got my OW, I got water on my trailing knee from riding. Oh damn, am I too old for this? What to do to get rid of this so I can keep riding? Ok, I'll stretch, nope. Shit, ok... I rode even more and the water when away and hasn't returned.

    I also found that hot girls half my age smile a lot more when I ride by them. Old man cool factor regeneration processing... And full charge complete

    V1 Bought: 09/15/16

    @SaturnOne yes, actually that was one. Of the rationale for purchasing. It was a very painful process rebuilding the muscles in my legs. However, riding onewheel, you have adrenaline, and the wind in your face so it's 1 motivating, and fun. Easier to get up every day and do it, verse the gym or rubber bands...

    It worked very well. :) very happy with the outcome

    In fact, the onewheel directly lead to the Job I currently have. My onewheel you could say saved my life :)

    @Aaron-Broward-FL Congrats Bro! Hadn't heard an example that concrete and tangible yet but I knew they had to be out there. And more will be coming. There's no denying. Won't even be "just physical" chronic issues, but that I probably can't shout out too loud just yet. So glad to hear it even got you your last job. Way to go! 👊🏽😇🏄🏻

    Welp, now that they announced the + with the 48 hour pricing (sure as hell ain't paying $2k), that was the nudge I needed. Just ordered.

    @ZeeMox Not to discourage your order, I'd love to get one myself, but I think everyone is misunderstanding the pricing. I believe the price of the Onewheel isn't going to change (it'll be the same as the original version), you just get a lot of additional cool stuff for the same price if you order within 48 hours.

    I grocked it. Where I live (PNW, 9 months of rain + loads of trails), fender/bumpers are probably not optional. And an extra year on the warranty is indispensable given my imminent plans to engage in voluntary poverty.

    Not sure what the deal is with that discount on the metrobag. Wtf is a metrobag?

    @ZeeMox Oh totally... all of the extra stuff is fucking great. I don't know what the metrobag is, but I'm curious to see it. I'm sure it'll show up in the store at some point.

    I'm a dork, apparently it's called a Mafia bag. I assume these:

    Basically tube backpacks. One could do much better than those prices, 25% off or not.
