    I have the same feelings. Is it not possible to downgrade or reset the firmware from andromeda? These surges uphill and being to responsivness makes me feel unsafe.

    It's a horrible, horrible feeling for a good many of us. Lots of discussion on the OWOG on Facebook. Andromeda has pretty much destroyed my ability to "pleasure cruise" on anything but the gentlest terrain. On even mild inclines, I get a series of aggressive "jerks" that FM tells me are intended to "help" me. I don't need that help! I was cruising up these hills beautifully before. To be honest - I don't notice off-road because usually the terrain is already bumpy and uneven and I thinks the surges get lost in that. This "feature" absolutely is not keeping me safe. It is making me uncertain and nervous in anticipation of the "help". And when it happens - usually when I'm not expecting it - it makes me feel very close to losing my balance and falling.

    Once updated I don’t believe you can go back. You’ll see folks selling used boards with the original firmware from time to time, but that’s the only way I’ve seen it possible to get your hands on it.

    I hear about updates all the time. How do these updates happen? Automatically via the app? I’m not even aware of any updates.

    I think in my case it updated automatically via app. I think this habbend during riding without asking my permission.

    @owpete

    You had to OK and approve the firmware update while the board was plugged in and it took a few minutes to transfer from the phone. Highly unlikely it happened without you knowing and/or while you were riding.

    ...you then certainly mean not likely.

    Does the surging feel like the motor loses a little power then kicks back in? I think I was experiencing it while in delirium and pushing the board as hard as I could. I nose dived shortly after.

    @mtruby82 Yes. Can usually feel it going up a steady incline slightly too fast or slow but with too much weight over the front.

    @markstaben Hahahahaha I' ve trying to work out why it caught me out several weeks ago, owch, resulting in a tarmac wipe out... there was an ever so slight dip on smooth surface and id just zoned into carving, it took off then almost immediately ditched me as it dropped down a notch after clearing the dip, all in a few feet. When I checked my app it was on delirium, my son had been playing around with it.
