@rue1013 I was actually considering altering a backpack to add a zipper or velcro opening at the bottom for that exact purpose! You pretty much read my mind. Let us all know what kind of pack that is. That's probably the best option I've seen so far... not too big and two straps evenly distribute the weight of the board:thumbsup:

@MichaelW I was looking and it seems to be the Nike Eugene model. @rue1013 correct me if I'm wrong.

@rue1013 Damn I was on the hunt for this Backpack till I realized the board was hanging out from the bottom. Is there any way for it to fit fully?- it looks big enough. Or is there a benefit for be half out that I haven't realized?

IMHO, yes there is a big advantage to having the board hang out the end......it makes the bag that much smaller. It also allows the bag to be used for other uses because you can zip the flap closed at the bottom. I do like the Patagonia bag that someone posted but this nike bag seems much more comfortable to carry due to all the padding/internal frame in the part that rests on the users back. Without the board hanging out the end, the bag would be a little cumbersome. Again just my opinion ....

@rue1013 Yep! I totally agree. Having the board hang out restricts the size which is a huge advantage!

@DVO I would bet its definitely the Nike SB Eugene like this and do love how the board hangs out like @rue1013 stated.

I can't seem to make up my mind between more of a backpack style or something more like a bag like the one @kolinko made.

@SC720 I've been going backpacking since I was a kid, and have no problem hiking for hours with weight on my back. So for me, the choice is simple: backpack all the way. You can take your Onewheel anywhere that way! I have an Arc'teryx pack that will easily accommodate my OW, but something smaller that will encase the wheel with part of the board extending from the bottom (and maybe even the top) of the pack is way more ideal. The last thing I want is a huge pack on my back when I'm riding down a sketchy dirt trail.

Btw, I called Premier this morning about that Eugene pack. They're not in stock and they are out of production :unamused: So the search continues...

It would be cool to have a similar backpack custom made for the OneWheel, where the bottom half of the board hangs out, but the shoulder straps of the bag continue inside the bag and loop around the gap between the wheel and the top portion of the board (if that makes sense without a picture).

That would secure it in the bag so it doesn't eventually tear through the bag, and also distribute the weight evenly across your shoulders. Then with room for wrist guards, helmet, and a few changes of clothing.

And also hopefully reverse the ban on OneWheels on airplanes.

@Code-ster I had a feeling that Premier site didn't actually even have any of those in stock. Just looked that way from the website layout but wanted to at least ID the pack. Good luck hunting.

We definitely need to find a backpack solution. .one that we can have on our back while riding and can carry the board when we're done. Gonna hit REI with the board and see what I can find. ..

Has anyone played around with vertical carry systems for snowboard backpacks. Think snowboards might be about half weight of OW but still curious if this might work.

@uncbeast5 Not in stock at that website or any other apparent one. @code-ster called them and they dont have any. Ebay and similar sites might be the only shot. Also @rue1013 said he got it 10 years ago so theres that too.

@SC720 Got it. Has to be some sort of skiing backpack similar to the style that @rue1013 has. That backpack looks like the best option for the OneWheel.
