this is so exciting! there's pix on OW Reddit of boxes, apparently in a warehouse, too. i'm assuming a OW employee posted them.https://www.reddit.com/r/onewheel/comments/cc4bon/pints_for_everyone/

@Franko
That's Future Motions official IG account, so all posts are from FM themselves.
If you are on the FM mailing list, HeadQuarters sent a note out last night.
-
@skyman88 what? they did? i should be on the list as a customer with an open order, shouldn't i? i didn't get an email.... : (
[EDIT]: what did it say?

You have to SIGN UP FOR THE LATEST NEWS & OFFERS -
@crazy4-o huh - guess i'll go check and do that, then. seems like they would send such an email to all existing order holders, but we've seen that they aren't the savviest when dealing with communication, heh.

Rrageouse @Franko 13 July 2019, 00:30 UTC
@Franko So yours is shipping 2 business days earlier than the DWMOW site said? What was your order number?
-
@rageouse yes! my estimated shipping date has been tuesday the 16th (it even showed that date this morning when i checked), but it shipped this afternoon, the 12th. my order number is/was 445xx.
-
@Franko Fantastic news

@Mark-Vlogs when will you place your order Mark?
-
@Daymos My wife sent me that clip about the woman being killed yesterday and the fact about the legality these products on the paths and roads. I said I would reorder this weekend, however sheβs not so happy now. Fingers crossed π€
-
Rrageouse @Franko 13 July 2019, 09:11 UTC
@Franko thatβs great! My order is 451xx, ordered the evening of March 12th. The ship date has held firm at July 22 since the last small push earlier this month (or was it the end of last month? Iβm forgetting now.)
-
DDaymos @Mark Vlogs 13 July 2019, 09:32 UTC
@Mark-Vlogs bless her.. I'm not worried about us dying... I'm more worried about if we will be stopped by police when cruising safely on quiet streets.
Parks should be allowed shouldn't it?? Like Hyde park?
-
@Daymos It seems you can only ride on private land, however in 2013 a judge ruled that an electric skateboard was not classed as a motorised vehicle and threw a case out of court, so a president has been set. Police can seize your Onewheel but Iβm not sure if it would get to that stage.

@Senior-Coffee 609ΓΓ is my order #
-
Rrageouse @Daymos 13 July 2019, 17:34 UTC
@Daymos @Senior-Coffee correct itβs a running number of the next order that came into Future Motion that includes Pints, XRs, and all accessories.
It we can generally use the order number to have an idea where they are at in the list and see how fast they are able to ship Pints out the door. And there are about 600 total orders between me (#451xx) and @Franko (#445xx) and 6 business days between his actual ship date and my anticipated one (holding at July 22nd as of this morning) on DWMOW.
If anyone has a low order number or an anticipated ship date in the next week, please chime in below. It might help us build a rough picture of how many Pints FM is shipping out now.

-
@rageouse interesting. so, that's cool, though: they aren't shifting things around to accommodate the limited edition, they are treating them in the order they came in, which is fair.
-
@Vindigo75 have you gotten a working tracking number yet?
-

@geguia ive not seems anyone recieve it on any social media yet.
I'm tired of searching onewheelpint only to see people add that tag for their XR videos misleading everyone in the process.
Ome guy even did a pint review on YouTube last week and he said... I dont actually have a pint to physically review..
-
@geguia yes - mine is out for delivery this afternoon.
-
@Franko
Get Some.... We are all rooting for you man! Have fun and report back... -
@Franko So excited for you.
-
@LidPhones will do! i'm not much of a social media guy, but i'll take pix of it and post it here for sure. Fedex usually delivers around 3pm or so, which is less than a half hour from now. i keep pacing around and checking the front porch, haha
EDIT: i no sooner hit "post" on this and the doorbell rang. i've spent the past 20-30 mins opening it and trying to figure out how to share some photos, haha. anyone know a good place to host pix? i have some in my google drive...
EDIT 2: i just realized that my fender, bumpers, and rail guards are not part of this shipment -- they are listed as shipping later. : (
EDIT 3: Just called FM with a couple questions, and they said: (1) the out-of-the-box tire pressure is 20 psi (in case anyone else is interested); and (2) they are hoping to ship out any ordered accessories this week. they wanted to ship them with the Pints, but it didn't happen and they didn't want to hold anything up any more. the guy i talked to also said "congratulations on getting a Pint -- you're my first call for them!" : D

-
DDaymos @brahlay 15 July 2019, 23:31 UTC
@brahlay I will guess probably 50 - 80% as they need to test it in the factory.
Great photos...thank you.
This guy got one also today https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz87gOtl8Nr/?igshid=1i6g6hj9vuayr
-
@brahlay well, it turned on, enough for me to see how the new lightbar responds with the footpad and all that, but as @Daymos said, i realized when i connected it to the app that it was at about 20% charge. It's charging now, but i wish i would've thought to check what time i plugged it in to see how long it takes to get to full. (next time!)
-
@Daymos True ππΌ
-
@Franko Good point. I will be aware of this when mine comes in a few weeks. Good to know real chargetime. Thanks for the reply. Congrats n Enjoy!
-
@Franko
Too funny on the timing of the post & then the delivery.. Nice on being one of the first to get the Pint and also to call FM support with questions. On the tire pressure I would keep it checked like once a week (if not many miles per day) or every couple of days if you put miles on daily. Tire pressure is the most important element for a quality ride in my experience..... Too low and the ride is squishy with range reduced. Too high and the ride can be wobbly but range gets better. You will settle somewhere between most likely..... Have fun Bro! -
PPrestonwest @Daymos 16 July 2019, 04:58 UTC
@Daymos mine was supposed to ship 7/16. On 7/15 1130 pm I got pushed back another week. Likely combing the forum and laughing their asses off.
-
DDaymos @Prestonwest 16 July 2019, 06:07 UTC
@Prestonwest perhaps they are adding accessories with your batch of orders moving forward.
Hey has anyone see a pint on the onewheel app leaderboard yet?
-
@Franko Fantastic news, the Pint has landed. Stoked for you.
-

-
@Daymos said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

you know, this might be the case. the rep i talked to on the phone said that they wanted to ship the Pints with any accessories this week, but something happened and they decided to just ship the Pints so they wouldn't have to delay again. he said they hoped to ship the accessories for the first run of Pints sometime this week. maybe they are delaying slightly to allow them to start shipping complete orders, rather than playing catch-up constantly.
-
JJayWalker 16 July 2019, 15:46 UTC
I was a bit hopeful that my shipping date would move up when they started shipping, but I'm still stuck at August 15th.
On a related note, I'm moving on August 15th, will Future Motion change my shipping address if I call them? -
NNikola 16 July 2019, 17:08 UTC
I'm order 442## (ordered an hour after the announcement). My shipping date was bumped from 16.7 to 20.7.
Even tough he has a higher order #, I see @Franko got his already (congrats BTW π). I guess they are either shipping sage OWs first, or maybe they are delaying international orders so they can ship them with accessories.
Even though I think that the customs process will be simpler if everything is bundled, I'm still impatient since shipping and customs will probably take an additional 7-10 days for me π
-
DDaymos @Nikola 16 July 2019, 17:20 UTC
@Nikola where are you based?
I think the 2nd thing you said about international orders makes sense.
They wouldnt want to send out 2 deliveries overseas as it will become costly for them.
I'm in the UK and hoping I get mine and accessories half way in August.
-
@Nikola said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

thanks! i keep going back and forth on whether i believe they are shipping the Sage models first or not, but now i'm back on the side of believing this is true. I thought i saw somewhere that other colors have shipped, but i've only seen mention of Sage models out in the wild so far, and i guess it does make sense that they would focus on getting out the limited edition models out of the way first, so they could then focus on the other colors.
-
DDaymos @JayWalker 16 July 2019, 17:22 UTC
@JayWalker I'm sure customer services will help but from my experience with changing address mid order is not good.
Companies use so many systems so there's a chance they may still send it to the original address and not update all properly. Most companies dont let you change anything when the orders pending but I dont know how FM do things.
Wouldnt hurt to ask or failing that.. camp outside your old place and wait for it to come π
-

-
NNikola @Daymos 16 July 2019, 18:23 UTC
@Daymos I'm in Serbia. I'm estimating shipping and customs times based on previous "large" shipments from the USA. I can only imagine what would happen if I had one invoice and two packages, I'd probably have to pay the duty fees twice π
@Franko makes sense. Please post your impressions on the forum after a few rides please! You're one of the lucky few active here that got their Pint π

@Nikola said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

my apologies! i did comment on a thread over on /r Onewheel, and i mean to post it here, too. it's not a lot, but here's the bulk of it:
i've only ridden about 30 mins or so so far, and i spent 5-10 mins trying it first on grass, just to get the feel for how to get up and balance. my lawn was too lumpy to get any forward momentum, so i quickly got frustrated and decided to just head for pavement. as a snowboarder, i know that it's actually easier to balance and turn if you have some momentum, and this seems no different. once i was on pavement, it was much easier for me to get up and roll forward, and even start some small turns, even if i was just creeping along. i haven't gone fast at all yet -- you could easily walk faster. but hey, it's still early days for me. so far so good!
Everyone also seems to want to know about the SimpleStop feature -- since i'm a total noob, i like it so far, but i can see that i'm going to disable it once i get more proficient at riding it. also, the handle is SUPER nice. the Pint is heavy enough that i cannot imagine carrying it for any distance without the handle.
-
WWhitterjoe @rageouse 17 July 2019, 01:54 UTC
@rageouse ordered mine March 12th 446**slate keeps getting bumped now at July 24th. Looks like the sage Pints are shipping first, the opposite of what they said about orders shipping in the order they were received.
-
Rrageouse @Whitterjoe 17 July 2019, 05:41 UTC
@Whitterjoe yup, my Slate too, every day its slipped at least another day. I'm up to the 25th as of tonight. Im hoping it will actually ship the following week?
Side note: I haven't seen many people say they ordered the Sand color. Lots of Sage and Slate.

-
NNikola @Franko 17 July 2019, 06:42 UTC

@TyDie Yes indeed. 7/19 is my anticipated delivery date.
Hey Vindigo75,
First, thanks a lot for the continuous updates since the beginning of preorders. I am part of the silent mass who was following every day any update from you early purchasers. With the lack of communications from FM, it was great to have any information to read!
I have a question: does "75" in your name stands for Paris, France? If this is the case, could you update us on how long it will take with the shipping and customs? I am in a situation where my expected shipping date is exactly at the beginning of my holidays.. I have no idea if I should ask for a change of delivery address or not... customs delay will change everything
Thanks!
-
VVindigo75 @Skual 17 July 2019, 13:08 UTC
@Skual Happy to help, or at least provide some distraction. Unfortunately, from an update perspective, the 75 is just my birth year. I am located in the US (Long Island, NY) and my Pint should be here this Friday. I suspect my delivery time was longer than @Franko due to my location, but that is pure conjecture on my part. FWIW - I ordered the Sage Pint as well with the max bundle...not sure if my accessories are shipping with my board or not.
-
SSkual @Vindigo75 17 July 2019, 13:45 UTC
@Vindigo75 ok thank you! I was under the impression that the "long" delivery would mean an oversea shipment, but obviously west to east coast is already quite a trip.
I guess that oversea will mean probably an even longer delay (8-10 days + custom delays?)
-
Ccrazy4-o- @Skual 17 July 2019, 17:08 UTC
@Skual
I'm located in Austria. A friend of mine ordered his XR last year about a month after itβs been released.
He told me his took about 5-7 days, customs included. FedEx shipping is 150 USD so it better be fast! -

@Vindigo75 have you had any word on when your accessories might ship? when i talked to a rep at OW on monday, he said they were hoping to ship this week, but i haven't received any word of mine shipping. i'm wondering if i need to call again to get a better estimate, because it's sure looking like they aren't going out this week.

VVindigo75 @Franko 19 July 2019, 18:41 UTC
@Franko Thank you my friend. So I have been eagerly awaiting a knock at the door announcing Fed Ex's delivery of my Pint since same was shipped with sig required. Unbeknownst to me, a second FedEx shipment, for which no sig was required, was also due to be delivered today.
Long story short, my Pint has been on my landlords front step since 11 am lol. Certainly can't lay the last near 4 hour "delay" on fm. Charging up now .
-
@Vindigo75 Excellent news
-
@Vindigo75 awesome! i was so happy when Fedex delivered mine, i told the guy that i'd been excitedly waiting ALL DAY for him. he said, "...really?" haha
-
OMG I now have tracking!!!!! IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! lol
-
JJayWalker @a_onekatie 19 July 2019, 20:40 UTC
@a1katie Did your estimated shipping date predict today or did it ship earlier than expected?
-
@JayWalker sort of both! My date changed a ton; it was late August when they announced the delays last month.
When I checked on Monday it said July 18th. By Tuesday it had pushed out 1 more day to the 19th. Wednesday, Thursday and then this morning status was βin productionβ until I got the shipment notification around noon PST.
-
@Vindigo75 so, i called OW yesterday, and the woman i spoke to didn't know when my accessories would be shipping, but she said she would find out and email me an update when she knew more. I haven't heard back yet.... maybe monday?
-

But delays still persist for the rest of us.
It's a shame because last week I thought sweet...now they can churn out the rest.

hook, line and sinker
doubt I'll get a pint. I got 200# to push uphill -
DDaymos 22 July 2019, 07:24 UTC
I just saw this video on bumpers
When I ordered some I thought it acts as an extra barrier almost like a phone case.
However it's just a replacement bumper.
I'm not complaining but if I knew, I wouldve probably chosen a more exciting colour instead of black/ dark grey.
Have any of you guys bought a bumper and if so, what will you do with your original one?
Do bumpers last long before they wear thin?
-
Ssteak 22 July 2019, 13:33 UTC
order 449xx holding steady at 7/26. It has been within one week about 5 times in this process before being pushed back. 4 days away is the closest I've gotten since ordering in March, but not holding my breath.
-
Rrageouse @steak 22 July 2019, 14:47 UTC
@steak Iβm in the same boat as you. 451xx Slate. Like every time it gets to 7-5 days away it gets kicked down the line a little more. Been so close many times.
-
NNikola @steak 22 July 2019, 14:47 UTC
@steak mine (#442xx) is scheduled for tomorrow (23.7). It's been that way at least 3-4 times now, but it was pushed back on the day of shipment.
Hopefully tomorrow I don't get a repeat experience π¬
-
FYI, from what I understand, they seem to be producing Pints in runs of a set color; Sage was first (thus only Sage orders have yet to ship), Slate will be next and then theyβll get to the Sand last (I wonder if no oneβs ordering Sand?).
-
Bbeenieboy 22 July 2019, 22:50 UTC
My date slipped again too - Aug 13, Slate order #522xx
-
@Nikola I pray for you friend. Keep us posted.
-
NNikola 23 July 2019, 07:35 UTC
My order is supposed to ship today. DWOW says that my order is on hold and to contact customer service.
I'll wait a bit to see if it changes, since it's midnight at FM offices. I was hoping to wake up to better news, but maybe I'll be surprised when the FM office opens.
-
@Nikola Oh thatβs a new one. Could it be a payment issue? Have you paid or is it on finance? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

@Daymos I think thatβs a slate thatβs just not very well lit. I agree it does look black though
-
DDaymos @Mark Vlogs 23 July 2019, 10:54 UTC
When I say black I mean slate..
Isnt there only 3 colours.. the Green one, sand one and the dark one?
-
NNikola @Mark Vlogs 23 July 2019, 11:25 UTC
@Mark-Vlogs it's been completely paid in March when I ordered it.
I'm hoping they put my order on hold to avoid delaying it, but I'm guessing someone messed up delaying my order and now it's on hold. Worst case scenario, there's a problem because it's an international order (I haven't seen non-US Pints on the leaderborads).
I'll shoot them an email, they can start off their day with me complaining :D

@Nikola I would phone them, I emailed to cancel my order and heard nothing, I phoned and it was all done with 2 minutes. It could be regarding customs duties?

@Mark-Vlogs @Franko thanks for the idea. I'll give them a few more hours (as it's not even 8am in San Jose) and then phone them.
It could be regarding customs duties?
Could be, but I doubt it since I've imported similarly sized items from the US before and had to deal with the customs myself. Then again Amazon does try to withhold fees. Either way I'll post as soon as I have more info :)

NNikola 23 July 2019, 17:46 UTC
Had a call with customer service. Apparently my country doesn't accept shipments of "dangerous" goods. Their suggestion was to ship it to a neighboring country and drive there to pick it up π
I asked why no one bothered to check if shipment was possible for almost five months, the response was that the shipping team checks addresses only before shipping.
Needles to say, I'm very disappointed with FM. I can forgive the delays, but not checking if you're actually able to fulfill the order is just bad. If I hadn't been checking the tracker, who knows if they would have even contacted me about this. I give them a big 0 for customer communication.
I cancelled my order and will be getting a refund, so no float for me π
P.S. If you live in a country where you haven't seen a OW before. Do yourself a favor and call to check if shipment is actually possible.
P.P.S. Some of you might actually get a OW soon since they actually tried to ship mine.
-
@Nikola OH NO, thatβs really poor service. They were ale your full address when placing the order, they should have a better system in place. Whereabouts are you?
-
Ssteak @Nikola 23 July 2019, 17:56 UTC
@Nikola NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! With you out the running it looks like of the people who have posted their order numbers / estimated delivery dates on this site I'm up next. Still holding at 7/26 on DWMOW site, but I'm bracing mentally for it to be well into August before my first float.
-
NNikola @Mark Vlogs 23 July 2019, 17:57 UTC
@Mark-Vlogs I'm in Serbia. The only relevant info I could find is an IATA/ICAO ruling banning lithium batteries on passenger planes, so it might apply to the EU as well. But who knows what info they have.
-
@Nikola I would order one from a company in Bulgaria and drive for a day. Get your money back and put your name down for when Droppin Shop get them
-
NNikola @Mark Vlogs 23 July 2019, 18:09 UTC
@Mark-Vlogs that was my plan before the Pint was announced, but honestly I'm tired of waiting.
The OW was supposed to be my daily commute solution, so I've been getting by with cabs/walking/car pooling for the last few months. I think I'll just get an e-scooter before the summer is over. I'll think about the OW if I happen to go to any of the nearby countries after they have the Pint in stock.
-
ZZeroVoice @b0ardski 23 July 2019, 18:44 UTC
@b0ardski I asked about that, I was told the pint is recommended up to 250lbs.

-
DDaymos @Nikola 23 July 2019, 20:38 UTC
@Nikola so sorry to hear this i ecco what everyone else was saying.. very bad by fm.
I hope you find a way to get somehow.
This has got me thinking.. im not even going ot risk taking this abroad.. not worth the hastle especially if your plane stops off at certain countries.
-
NNikola 24 July 2019, 08:04 UTC
@Franko @Daymos thanks for the support. FM really dropped the ball on this one.
A colleague offered to ship to his parents house in a neighbouring country, but since I already cancelled my order (and I don't expect FM to give me back my spot in line), I'm not going to wait another month or two for a new order. And who knows, maybe that country has the same problem, I certainly don't expect FM to know π
I've ordered an e-scooter, maybe I'll try to get a OW before the next summer.
-
@Nikola I certainly hope you have fun on your scooter and hope that itβs not too long before you come back to a OW.

Ssteak @steak 24 July 2019, 13:38 UTC
It is now 7/27, and maybe its possible but I have my doubts about something being shipped out on a Saturday. Reviewed my calendar and the previous estimated dates. I have been within one week of shipping 5 times so far, with it moving twice since it was 7 days or less.
It is honestly embarrassing. I've told friends "so I'm getting an electric board in a week" and just left out that I gave someone $1,000 FIVE MONTHS AGO. At first no one noticed but now that I've said "one week" a few times people have figured out that I paid for something a long time ago that isn't here.
FM has a responsive customer service line. They have a forum for people to vent. And given where they operate (San Jose) those two things alone put them above their geographic peers. Can't say how many messages I've sent to Google begging to give them money for some type of customer support.
That being said, five months after giving FM a lot of money, the only thing I have to show for it is a bunch of friends who think I've been scammed. Not a good feeling at all.

Ssinah @steak 24 July 2019, 13:59 UTC
@steak buddy looks like you can use some rest from checking your order status. Don't get me wrong. I'm completely there with you. It's just that it is not 7/27 today, nor is today Saturday. π

-
Ssinah @steak 24 July 2019, 14:34 UTC
@steak haha. Sorry. My $1k has been with FM for just as long as yours has been. I'm getting loans to pay my loans but had to get the OW. You know? If only I knew summer would be long over by the time I get my hands on it...

Order 443XX placed March 12, 45 minutes after the launch, shipped yesterday! But delivery is estimated for Monday, which seems pretty conservative from Southern California to North Alabama. This is a SLATE Pint!
-
just called FM to see what's going on with my accessories, since i never did receive an email from them with an update last week (which is what the rep i talked to last week promised). it took me three tries to get through -- i was disconnected twice, which was really starting to chap me, gotta say -- but when i did, the rep i spoke to apologized and said that they did have a delay last week with parts, but she assured me that my accessories should be going out friday. WE SHALL SEE...
-
Ssinah @Rocketeer 24 July 2019, 18:51 UTC
@Rocketeer this is kind of crazy. Honestly the least they can do after all these delays is to expedite the shipping. I didn't order mine on the same day as the announcement but a few days later and mine is hopefully bring shipped August 7th. And as you know when we ordered there was no notion of this being pre-ordered. Only a few days later when I eagerly checked my order status I got June 25th as the ETA. Now after all these months they don't even bother expediting the shipment?
Kept my mouth shut so far, but gotta say I'm genuinely pissed now. -

i agree -- i knew when i ordered on March 12th that it was a new item, still in the works, and i was ok with delivery in May. BUT i also agree that once they started hitting the original estimated dates back in May and suddenly extended them out by another month and a half again -- THAT was where i started to get upset, and i just wish they would be really up front with the deliveries for the Slate and Sand models now, because those people have been really putting up with a lot at this point.

SSenior Coffee 24 July 2019, 22:08 UTC
I canceled my pint order this afternoon but not because I was upset about the delay in shipping or the lack of communication by FM. I cancelled because I decided that I wanted a board with more range so I bought an XR. If they come out with a new pint in the future that has more range I'll consider it. I've been riding my V1 for 3 weeks now and I have found that the seven to eight miles that it provides is just not enough for me. About 3 weeks ago I ordered the two-x kit for my V1 so I can increase its range.

i'm nowhere near maxing out the Pint range yet, since i'm still learning, but i'm also hoping that some sort of 3rd party battery extender modifier will show up because i am thinking at some point i'll need it.

Ssinah 24 July 2019, 23:22 UTC
Hey a quick note from my side at least. I didn't talk of hate. But am I upset? you bet I am.
Now you might have been following OW for years. I didn't know about their existence until a few days before I placed my order. I just saw someone riding one in the street and I really needed something like that for my commute (which I no longer need) and I searched all over the internet to find out what the heck was that thing because I thought it was really cool. When I figured it was the onewheel I headed to their website and just placed an order. I ordered Pint because it was more affordable for me. I actually had no clue whatsoever that it was just released and there was nothing on the website or anywhere in the order process that would tell me that. I remember placing the order and just wondering in the end "ok when exactly am I gonna get this?!" It wasn't until a few days later when I decided I really should figure that out and I found the DWMOW page and it told me June 25th. I was completely shocked but still didn't know this was a "pre-order". I searched online again and I think in their FAQ found something that said it'll take 8-12 weeks to make a OW. Now that I know more, I think that was back when they had released the XR. But again thought I'll just wait a bit longer. No big deal. Right? Then as the further delays happened, I dug more and only then figured this was actually a new release with a new factory and everything.Still I kept my mouth shut and I waited and waited and waited and they just kept pushing my order (silently) further and further and further back.
So before you get on your high horses and say oh what's the hate for, see if I actually mentioned hate, or if I have good reasons to be upset. You're happy with your situation? Good for you. Don't expect everyone to have your situation or think just like you do.
And FWIW, if you leave in southern California you probably don't give a damn if summer is over before you receive your OW. I wouldn't either. Many people though would effectively have to wait for another year before they can enjoy their ride. The clock is ticking for me...
-
Ssinah 24 July 2019, 23:37 UTC
And just as I was typing this my date got pushed yet again.
-
@sinah I... I shouldn't be laughing... Sorry...
As much as I love my XR, FM really screwed the pooch on the Pint launch.

i don't live in S. Cal. either, but i do visit on occasion. i live in Northern NV, and we get all four seasons, with snow, etc., and FWIW, i've seen videos of people who live in the eastern and northern US riding their OW boards in wet and even snowy conditions, so i would not worry too much about only being able to ride it for 3 months out of the year. With the right tire, it might actually be almost an all-year-round ride.

Yeah mine was Aug 20th and has slipped back a few times to the 28 now. Really hoping it moves up as it gets closer but at this rate Iβll be well into Sept...
-
@sinah you're right, you didn't say "hate" anywhere, that was just how I interpreted your last comment, that you were "genuinely pissed now."
I can certainly see where you are coming from after reading this. I'm guessing that the main difference between our 2 experiences is that I can't imagine a situation in which I'd throw down $1k for something I knew so little about. I researched the crap outta the pint and even then still hemmed & hawed over the purchase until the final day of pre-order availability. Maybe this purchase wasn't that big of a deal to you (no judgement and good on you if so), for me it was an investment and I needed to ensure I knew exactly what I was getting before I committed to it.
In May, when FM announced the delays, did they not send you the mini 3D printed Pint as compensation? I know that was a bit of a stab to the heart, but it was NOT by any means required of them and I felt FM really went above and beyond with that gesture.
-
Ssinah @a_onekatie 25 July 2019, 00:05 UTC
@a1katie thanks for your understanding. Yes I was upset. I AM upset, but I really don't equate being upset with hate. I keep watching every YouTube video and liking them with eagerness dreaming for the day I can ride mine.
Yes. You probably are right that when I dropped the $1k I didn't do as much research as you have done. I did some. But it didn't even occur to me to check when the product was released, and ironically I really needed it back then for my particular commute situation so I may have rushed it a bit.
I may even look into what Franko suggested and find out how/if I can safely ride during the raining season (I don't think I would do in snow) but that doesn't really change the fact that they dropped the ball on this and they keep doing it.
I did receive the mail back when they sent it but that actually came way after I saw delay after delay. I check my status like 50 times a day. That's how excited I am to finally hopefully one day get mine. Beside this last post, you can never find me complain about any of it. So I was surprised when you said you don't understand all the hate. It's all good. π

i did the same thing. i fretted and researched and thought about it until the window for the Sage colorway was about to close, and then jumped in. i had seen OneWheels on the playa at burning man the year before, and i REALLY wanted one, but the price point was just too much for me until the Pint was announced. I think what else really went into my mindset was that i had kickstarted another product a couple years before that cost much more than the Pint (approx. $1400, all told, honestly) and i waited about a YEAR AND A HALF for that to finally be in my hands, so waiting 4 months was really not bad at all as far as i was concerned. now, i know the Pint wasn't a kickstarter product, but it's true that it was basically run like one, ahem...

@Franko said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

Yeah. I had a somewhat similar kickstarter experience except that in my case after about the year and a half wait, they just filed for chapter 11 and I never saw a dime of my money back. Thankfully that wasn't $1400, but then again I was well aware of the risks when I backed the project, and still it was upsetting to be left with nothing after all of that. This time, it wasn't advertised as such to me.
Anyhow, right now I can't do anything but wait. That's not true, I can cancel, but I'd feel even worse if I do that being so close to the finish line. So I'll just wait :)
-
@sinah hang in there, your day will come!
Also, just putting it out there, Iβve seen video footage of people onewheeling in the snow! Granted it was a hard pack, but still snow!
-
@sinah yikes, they filed for chapter 11? no wonder you're feeling like "once bitten, twice shy"! i wouldn't blame you. but i'm with @a1katie -- keep the faith. the Pint is really great. all my worries and thoughts of cancelling evaporated the moment i held it in my hands.
-
DDaymos 25 July 2019, 13:46 UTC
Future moton did not make it clear before sale how long the wait would be.. it said something like shipping in may...
When i handed over my money the dude wheres my one wheel system was all i had and my expected date was july at the time.. a whole 2 months later..
On its mid August now and im dealing with it.. if it goes to September I may cancel but thats another story.
My point is.. there was no way to find this out before hand and that part has annoyed many people
We shouldnt belittle people who feel the communication is poor because it is very poor.
We also shouldnt try to say how people should or shouldnt feel if blessed enough to not be in the same situation as them anymore.
-
@Daymos said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

@Franko im not starting a war here.. those who know... know.
-
@a1katie I do most my shopping on Amazon and other major retailers' sites. I'm to assume u never have. 3 day shipping means -- 3 days from the moment u placed ur order. Quite simple, no thorough investigation needed prior to purchase.
-
@brahlay umm, no it does not. I work in retail lol. 3 day shipping means it will be delivered 3 days after it has shipped.
-
@a1katie U r technically correct. I'm just used to most U.S. retailers shipping the same day the order's placed. So when OW had zero info regarding 'preorder' on their site, at the time I purchased, I assumed it would ship soon-after.
Anyway, I'm mainly "getting at u" bcuz u said somethin like, it was obvious it was a preorder, and it truly wasn't.
-
@brahlay @a1katie I and many others thought we would have it a week after ordering, but thatβs all water under the bridge now. They are being shipped but incredibly slowly, I know someone estimated they would be making 250 per day, I think thatβs way off the mark, I f they were then the shipping dates would be decreased immediately, I think theyβre making more like 30 per day.
-
KKWasch 25 July 2019, 17:55 UTC
It would be nice if FM would give us a better idea of just how many are being built a day. At least then we would have a better idea of where weβre at in the process. At this point weβre just seeing our ship date get pushed further and further out.
On top of that Iβm seeing some pop up on eBay for absurd prices. I understand supply and demand but man $600 over list ! -
@brahlay said in Your Pint Shipping Date:
it was obvious it was a preorder, and it truly wasn't.
i am one of those who DID assume it was a preorder. it was a new product announcement, so it just made sense to me. i was surprised when people were upset about it at first.
-
@Franko I'm wondering if u and others see any issue with having to 'assume' anything when making a purchase, esp. 'assuming' it's a preorder... what a joke! This is the pressing issue. It obviously wasn't clearly stated on the site, anywhere at the time of early purchases, like mine and others'. If it was, there would be no assumptions or misunderstandings from anybody to address. Make sense?
-
@brahlay again, I did a TON of research before placing my order. The only thing I assumed at the time was that a 2 month production window for a brand new domestic factory was not going to be realistic.
TBH I guess thatβs the heart of why weβve had such different experiences. I knew exactly what I was getting into when I placed my order and I fully expected delays to begin with.
-
DDaymos 25 July 2019, 21:25 UTC
I saw this product many years ago but it was too expensive
I saw adverts and videos of the pint in Feb/ March I think and kept an eye on the situation.
I was tempted to place an order in March but finally took the plunge in May just around the time of the big set back.
I knew it wasnt ready when i placed the order but they advertised shippng in June or July.. i really cant remember now so i knew i would have to wait atleast a month or two.
I think the issue is communication... they would string people along up until a day before their estimated dispatch date only to be pushed back a few weeks.
I'm sure we can all agree the level of communication back then and even now is pretty poor.... and because of that i dont think anyone is to blame if they assmumed the expected norm.
-
@brahlay look, you're clearly angry, and i get it. i swear when i ordered on March 12th it did say "preorder" somewhere during the ordering process (you can read some of my early posts here, i think i mentioned it back when i first joined this forum and saw people being mad about it) -- but of course there was no way to go back and check for that wording after i placed my order. if it wasn't there, it wasn't there, but i say "assumed" because it seemed clear to me from the start that this was a new product announcement -- a 2.0 version of their existing products -- and that we were jumping on as early adopters, which means there would be a wait. yes, the FM communication is seriously lacking... on that we can totally agree.
-
@a1katie True. Understood βπΌ
-
@Franko Gotchya. The pint was the 1st I've ever seen of the OW's and I had no product knowledge prior. Anyway not mad, a bit annoyed, but mostly eager n trying to see where other peoples heads are at with this.
-
@brahlay it definitely has been a bumpy, sucky ride, and i know people are anxiously awaiting their orders. all i can say is that before i got my shipping notice a couple weeks ago that i was seriously vowing that if i got bumped into august i was going to cancel my order. now that i have one and have been learning to ride it, i'm ALL IN. the Pint is solid as a truck, it's fun, it's nimble, and it's everything they promised. if you can just hold on, you'll see.
-
@Franko Awesome! Enjoy. I will def keep holding and now that I finally vented to u n katie, I feel better lol. My bad

@brahlay venting ainβt bad at all if it makes you feel better! Cheers!

My order 449xx still holding for 7/27, "in production." As an aside, since someone on this forum was 442xx to be delivered 7/23 (but had a shipping issue due to country of destination), new estimate of pints made per day.
Estimated 700 pint difference between our orders, 5 days between our delivery dates ~140 pints / day.
Just spitballing fwiw

Ssteak @crazy4-o- 26 July 2019, 16:57 UTC
@crazy4-o Of course
Any estimate is just for schitzengiggle while I wait for my float to begin.
140 pints/day is probably on the high end. My initial estimate of over 200/day now seems outside any plausible production range.
-
Ccrazy4-o- @steak 26 July 2019, 19:22 UTC

clear! everything that makes your waiting time easier!
I'm in the same boat, but gave up trying to see through their system and capacity. maybe they do 100 a day maybe 140 ... maybe 200 if the production runs optimally.
you'll start your float life sooner or later, that's for sure! -

Hi folks!
Longtime lurker, first time poster.
Slate order here; ordered March 13; order num 47xxx.
I got a bit frustrated with the day by day pushbacks and called support. After being auto hung up on 3 times in a row, I finally got through. The support person stated the delays are due to hiring and training the additional staff.
She also stated they start the day with a count of how many they'll build (100 or 150 or similar). If they end up short of that estimate, the ones scheduled get pushed to the next day and everyone else's get pushed back too.She stated as they train folks the estimates are getting better. I don't agree with that optimism, but ya know hey, it should be the case even though it isn't.
I also asked about the state of accessories and she said they just started shipping them for the pint, but further ships (like the next two weeks and beyond) should be getting their accessories at around the same time as the board.
My current ship date has been pushed back to the 7th. It's not listed as in production so I'm doubtful that date will remotely hold. -
@meowers
interesting insight (and in my opinion completely believable, considering what we do know) into how this is all working behind the scenes. i am especially interested in the news about the accessories, because i called again today to find out the status of mine, and the rep gave me the same line i've heard the past two weeks (oh, i'm so sorry, there were delays but we're getting them going, yours should ship by friday...) -- and when i said to the guy, "gee, that's funny, because this is the 3rd week in a row that someone has told me that exact same thing..." he said "oh, really? oh man, wow, ok, i'll check with production and see what's going on with yours and get right back to you, ok?"i thought he was going to put me on hold, but then i realized he meant he'd email me with an update, and by then it was too awkward to continue hanging on the line, so i let him go. but i'm planning on calling tomorrow again to see if i can get some actual news. i appreciate that they hand assemble stuff there, but come ON.

@meowers
I sympathize, it took me 8 months to finally pull the trigger, I was concerned I was too old, that I'd hurt myself and be one of the sad stories where I had to sell at 25 miles because of an injury (with the wife's voice in my head, "I TOLD YOU SO!").
. . . shudder
Then when I finally went for it, there was another month of delays . . . then they shipped . . . but they didn't ship, because they said there were problems shipping to my location, and a real headache getting it sorted.
I was pissed-off and cancelled, thought I was spending too much for poor service, waited a day to calm down, made some calls and found an XR left at 1 of the 2 dealers in my state . . . their last XR, the ONLY XR in my state, 150 miles away . . . I was lucky.
They're not bad folks, they're buried. They're overwhelmed being a 40 person shop with probably the hottest product out there - and then trying to open a new factory during the launch of a new product, just didn't help things much.
I'm sure they needed a new factory to meet projected demand for the new product, but with cash flow realities, also needed to try and coordinate that launch with the opening of the factory.
That's a witch's brew right there.
I'm laying odds there're a LOT of sleepless nights there right now - it's gotta be a production/ops nightmare.
The only consolation I can give you is: I'm now 400 miles into my XR, the wait will be worth it, it really is that f'in awesome.
I have an MBA, used to work corporate - yes, their communications need work, but it has to be exciting times there flying by the seat of their pants.
It's a little sketchy hitting people's CCs months away from shipping, but I get it . . . hang in there - your first rides (and first trips to the doctor) will make all this a distant memory.
By the way, don't be surprised if, in the very near future, you ride your OW to a doctor's appointment (to treat an injury from your OW), and your 60 y/o doctor asks to meet you somewhere for you to teach him to ride it.
. . . true story.

Mmeowers 31 July 2019, 12:53 UTC
@Franko Yikes. I hope they do get the accessories for you out soon.
I called uninterested in getting specific dates. I know the support rep doesn't have them. I was hoping for some specifics about what's causing delays.
But I'm surprised their support team is also mostly in the dark with specifics about delays.
It really feels like FM is embarrassed about the cause of the delays and is afraid to own up to it. It's really bizarre and sketchy behavior.I know these products exist, I know their other products exist as I've seen them. But if I didn't, I would have cancelled a long time ago because this is such a scammy practice.
I don't want vague promises, I just want honesty and specifics about what's continuing to hold things up. We shouldn't have to be calling constantly to get that information.
I don't understand why they struggle with that concept. I'd have to imagine their support and marketing teams are pushing for that. They don't want to see the negative feedback either and support certainly doesn't want constant calls about it.Their career page has quite a few postings related to shipping/order fulfillment so I fully believe they are trying to ramp up. I just really, really cannot fathom the radio silence. That's why I finally called. I wanted to get insight and figured I'd share that limited amount here.
I just need to understand what person thinks this communication (lack thereof) is a good marketing/pr/BUSINESS move.

DDaymos @meowers 31 July 2019, 13:17 UTC
@meowers this explanation makes total sense and lines up with what we've all been piecing together for the past couple months.
Thanks for sharing.
-
KKielanders @meowers 31 July 2019, 13:20 UTC
@meowers
It truly is a failure that communication isn't up-front and on-point. The company is small enough that the blame lay squarely on Kyle at the top. Why he's being advised the way he is on corporate communications is anyone's guess.
Customers on a cutting-edge product like this will roll with problems as long as you keep them in the loop.
People (myself included) are emotionally invested in this product; to tag the CC upfront, then to be left in the dark for months, then to be mocked with 'Has the Pint Shipped', they're not building goodwill or loyalty.
This means they're shooting themselves in the foot longer term, because customer loyalty will suffer, and folks will flock by the 1000s to the next best knock-off that surfaces in the next few years.
I'm not condemning them or criticizing them, just warning them of what the future looks like - Kyle & FM have earned their success and admiration, I'd like them to keep it.

Wwoodynz @Nikola 2 August 2019, 06:05 UTC
@Nikola so mate after nearly a week trying to get in touch with support I can confirm I'm in the same boat as you are :(. Ordered a couple hours after the announcement, went "in production" last week (for the second time, first time in May before the first 5 week bump) then started reporting the same "order on hold" you got at the end of last week.
I'm from New Zealand.
Pretty PO'd about this, beyond just the general horrendous lack of comms from them:
- The ordering process at the time the Pint came out wouldn't let you order a Plus or XR with my address (I tried, and contacted support about it a short while prior to the Pint release)
- They sent me that friggen plastic placatory gesture - to NZ!
Pretty difficult not to feel like this was at best hugely negligent on their part, and more likely intentionally unethical business conduct. The ordering process would have to have been intentionally enabled to use our countries as shipping addresses.
Anywho; that's my long built-up rant. I guess part of my aggravation is that I was clearly naive assuming they'd somehow sorted shipping for the Pint!
At least there'll be another slate pint available to someone else!

DDaymos @Franko 2 August 2019, 06:37 UTC
@Franko perhaps ask FM
If your 170wh board is already battered and bruised and your accessories haven't come yet.. try and swap your pint around the same time your accessories show up π
-
Ssinah 2 August 2019, 06:53 UTC
Well I am getting very close to my cut off date. It's really not funny anymore. It used to be that every other day my ship date would slip by one day now every day it slips multiple times each time by multiple days. Last week I was set for 5th, now it's 19th. I told my wife this morning September first would be a hard date for me and to my extreme disappointment it really doesn't look like I'm gonna make it after all these months. Pathetic
-
DDaymos 2 August 2019, 08:14 UTC
WTF my date is now 27th August and was mid August just last week and early August before then.
I half jokingly said my date will move between Sep 1st and 15th but at this rate I can see it moving to late September.
My cut off date is pushing forward every day.
The only positive is I will have my money back.
-
Ddarry_killerb 2 August 2019, 13:30 UTC

-
Mmeowers 2 August 2019, 14:57 UTC
@sinah that was also my hard cutoff but honestly I've been thinking more about the reasons I wanted this and for me it's just for commuting. Our public transit for anyone wanting to go east/west is non existent (aka a place 3 miles away takes 50 minutes on a good day to get to by public transit).
This seemed like the highest quality, yet lowest price option and the tire's size is really reassuring for our sh*tty roads and questionable sidewalks. But I need something sooner as I'm commuting west a lot and it's getting old fast. And it seems like there's a lot of scooters with large tires and way better range than the pint at the same price (or cheaper) so honestly I'm just going to cancel today.
I think this will be/is a really fun device but for me, there are other options. I hope you all get yours soon! And your accessories!
-
Ssinah @meowers 2 August 2019, 15:18 UTC
@meowers that's very sad. You know I also initially ordered this for my commute. There was a tremendous amount of big construction projects on my way to work that was to last about 6 months and were heavily affecting the traffic, tripling my commute time. That's when I started looking for an alternative and fell in love with this thing without having even tried a onewheel before. Guess what? it's already been about 5 months since then and the streets are largely back to normal. I ended up riding my bike in the meantime. So I don't really need this for commute anymore. I just want it for the joy, but can't really say that I'm enjoying my current situation.
Beyond all of that I'm just sad that the next time they come up with a cool product like this one, I highly doubt they'd get this much enthusiasm. Consumer trust is the biggest asset any company can ever have once you burn through it it'll be very tough to replace.
-
@a1katie haha, no -- but i did think about going!
-
Ssinah @Franko 2 August 2019, 15:22 UTC
@Franko silly question. I've been wondering how do you guys do the "footnote" in your posts? What's the trick? :-P

Iβm getting really curious what the real world applications of commuting on a Pint will be like.
I have a really varied commute. I drive for 35 mins, take a train for 45 mins and then have to walk another 15. As Iβve mentioned before, that 15 min walking section and navigating the vast Train parking lot were the βjustificationβ I used to finally commit to my Pint order. But now that Iβve had it in my hands a bit, Iβm realizing the thing really is not THAT light weight, when Iβm on the train Iβll have to lay it on the ground. Thereβs also absolutely no way for me to carry it (without the fender Iβm still missing) and not get road dirt all over my clothes. In reality Iβm beginning to think the Pint is more for the commuter who lives a short distance from work and just doesnβt want to drive it.
All that said, Iβm still going to give Commuting on the Pint a shot. Even if I decide in the end itβs not worthwhile, Iβm not by any means upset or disappointed with my Pint order since Iβve realized itβs off road capabilities make it just a valuable to me in recreation.
-
@a1katie i know it's an added expense, and they aren't shipping them yet (sometime this month, though), but i ordered one of the Craft & Ride backpacks for the Pint. that is going to help me carry it around. it looks super slick:
https://craftandride.com/products/superow-backpack-for-onewheel-pint
-
Ssinah @a_onekatie 2 August 2019, 16:34 UTC
@a1katie I totally get how they might not be the right commute choice for everyone. For me, I carpool with my wife and daughter and that allows us to use the express lane in freeway for free and very quickly get to the vicinity of all our destinations. Then those last few miles take a while in the city traffic especially given that we'd have to drive to one and then the other before finally getting to the last destination. So what I wanted to do was to get off the car at my daughter's school and float to work so my wife can also drive directly to her work after that. That also means I won't be really carrying the board myself. Would just put it in the trunk.
Of course I'd have to wait and hopefully see how that turns out to be in practice.
-
Mmeowers 2 August 2019, 16:51 UTC
I live just outside of Boston and commute to it and Cambridge (which is the more difficult of the two).
I already don't commute by car since it'd take forever and parking is ridiculously expensive ($45 a day).
My commute is really unpredictable so I was hoping one of these e devices could make it consistent at least during all seasons that aren't winter.
Instead of 30 minutes to 2 hours, it'd be about 35 minutes consistently. Definitely worth the cost to me. -
Just got an Email from FM, saying they will be ramping up production soon. But haven't they said that many times in the past few weeks? The email used the same BS lines we've been getting from them for months now.

I for one am very hopeful that they are making great progress now and am getting really excited again. So much that I even called them today and paid for overnight shipping. I'm traveling shortly after my ETA and really wanted to have my board on that trip.
It's unfortunate that they're not shipping the accessories with the board yet but hey if that's gonna get me on the board even one day earlier I'm all for it.

@Mark-Vlogs
My Pint order approach is an indirect path so it might not fit your intended format but I feel it is worth sharing.... The dealer I used to buy my XR last year said they ordered Pints on opening day and just got them in this week, August 6th.The reason I went this route is I was able to get the Sage LE model just by verbal commitment and no cash down. It helps to be a repeat client.... Anyway I should get my hands on the Pint mid next week once UPS arrives.

@Daymos accessories haven't shipped with it. I've just applied a carbon fiber wrap on it to get just a tiny amount of protection. I have to say my board is already full of scratches :p

@Franko I know. I was pretty happy with it myself. Given that the rail guards are clear color, I'm thinking when they eventually arrive I'll do a carbon fiber layer on top of them before putting them on the board. Or perhaps the other way around depending on the material

For anyone that's interested mine has just been delivered a day early by FedEx! More useful to know though is that my accessories weren't shipped with the board so OW weren't waiting to send them all together which surprised me as I'm in the UK so anyone waiting still it's not because they're trying to save on the postage!

Keep us posted on how it goes and customs charges etc.
Mine is due to be shipped to the uk on 28th so ill be looking every few hours today and tomorrow.

@tzracer22 lol thatβs certainly true. They actually split my accessories order three times! So I had tracking for my board, then tracking for my fender, then my rail guards and handle and finally my bumpers.
-
DDaymos @a_onekatie 27 August 2019, 14:36 UTC
@a_onekatie did you get alot of scratches on your board?
I know its going to happen as we cant escape it.
I saw you have green bumpers.. what will you do with you old ones.. save them for when your new ones get worn down?
-
@Daymos yes lol
Since this was my first OW and I def had a learning curve to contend with, my rails and original bumpers both got pretty dinged up (also doesnβt help learning on gravel and rugged pff road terrain).
Iβm holding onto my old bumpers but donβt really have any specific plans for them.
-

Well first ride and first crash done! Only the one proper "rolling around on the floor" job so well happy with that. Done 8 miles and still had 18% left in the tank, very happy with that too! Couldn't wait for my rail guards and bumpers etc so stuck some gorilla tape on and off I went.

@Daymos
Finally itβs on its way!ππΌ
The race is on! Whoβs gonna be first, UK or AUT customs? -
@crazy4-o weβve already had a UK, it was Β£250 customs and excise duties.
-
Ccrazy4-o- @Mark Vlogs 28 August 2019, 10:43 UTC
@Mark-Vlogs
I know people around the world already received their pints!
Just want to know whoβs customs authorities works faster.π -
@Mark-Vlogs I got my Pint last week, and the taxes were Β£176, with a Β£12 FedEx charge on top (which I tried contesting with them, but they wouldn't drop it). My accessories arrived yesterday , and I think that was another Β£45 in total. At least I ordered it all before sterling started to dive against the dollar!
-
@J0nKn1ght @Daymos was charged Β£250 without accessories, thatβs a huge difference. I wonder what the difference was?
-
@Mark-Vlogs I don't really understand why it would be different.
It's difficult to do a comparison, because of the accessories that I ordered, but I think the total cost was about the same that I'd have paid buying one from a UK retailer, what with the $200 shipping cost, the taxes and the landing costs from FedEx. If I'd known how long I'd have to wait when I ordered it in March, I probably wouldn't have done it direct from FM.
I ended up buying an XR from The Snowboard Shop in Fleet as well, as I was fed up with waiting! :) -
DDaymos @J0nKn1ght 28 August 2019, 13:25 UTC
@J0nKn1ght thats crazy.
Thats the issues people have with customes charges is the randomness.
I have free shipping as that was the promotion they had at the time.
It seems my accesories are not part of this delivery so i will see how much it is next week.
Also... how do you pay? when they arrive on your dorstep or online once it crosses the boarder?
-
@Daymos I got an SMS from FedEx with a link to their payment site, I think when the package was still in transit to the UK. Then you just pay by credit card on their site.
As I mentioned, I queried the Β£12 charge that they added when the Pint was shipped, which delayed things for a couple of days. I just paid the amount straight away for the accessories, and it actually arrived a day ahead of schedule. -
Sep 5th has been holding steady, and I am now "in production"!!!!!

My accessories turned up today. No extra charge @Daymos . Looks like I paid it all in one hit mate.
What did you order as accessories as yours is a fair bit more than mine. My 250 covered all costs and was for an ultra charger, fender, bumpers, rail guards and me free mag handle. -

@crazy4-o
Sweet!. Glad you get to enjoy the Pint over the holiday weekend. Rack up those miles..... -
DDaymos 2 September 2019, 15:36 UTC
The Pint is amazing..
Coming from a skateboarding and Rollerskating background from yesteryear I found it easy to learn the basics within minutes.
Going straight and trusting the board is the start then its outer and inner turns.
Once you get that down everything else comes with more and more practice.
My board is scratched up and my accessories arrive tomorrow but I dont care..
I made some animated Pint Visuals you can see on my Instagram @Daymos_visuals and the BTTF2 Hoverboard is my favourite design.
I'm still getting more confidence to make tighter faster turns but it will come.
I've gone down to the high street and have been cool in traffic. I've only done 12mph but it's a nice safe speed and I feel I can better my skating stats of only falling twice in 10 years.
Saying that.. i only stick to road... if I do trails that's another story haha
-
AAlki_Soupboy @Daymos 3 September 2019, 01:36 UTC
Mine gets here tomorrow after 90+ days of waiting. So stoked... and the accessories are coming the same day too. Nice work FM! Iβm taking the day off, kids are still out of school and excited to see this thing. Should be a good day!
-
DDaymos 3 September 2019, 09:48 UTC
I recieved my accessories today and the rail guards were bent in half to fit in the box. I'll have to try and flatten the folds before I apply it.
I also dodnt get one of those mini finger sized pints but no biggie.
-
@Daymos
A.) I want my pint to look as cool as your rendering!
B.) I know, major bummer that FM ships the rail guards folded in half! Lay them out over night and they should flatten back down a bit before you attempt to apply them.
C.) They sent my 3D Model Board in June as an apology gift when they announced the first round of shipping delays. I received it along with a hand written note. Did they not send you the same package? -

I see you hit 14.1 on top speed, did you get some pushback? That is the speed at which I feel PB begin on the Pint.
-
@LidPhones I think so. lol
So far the only times I believe Iβve felt pushback are when I am commuting in the bike lane down long stretches of uninterrupted road. I feel it more as sort of a βrockingβ motion; possibly because I must be the ideal candidate in that my bodyβs natural reaction when I feel it is too slow down immediately to figure out WTH is happening. Definitely noticed this a couple times now, Iβll try to pay more attention to what my exact speed is but Iβd guess it may even start at 13 mph.
-
J
My Pint finally shipped Yesterday! I can't wait for it to arrive early next week
-
@JayWalker
Enjoy the ride! The start of your OW addiction..... -
@a_onekatie
I agree the pushback is kind of like a rocking motion on the Pint as it almost urges you to slow down under the PB speed. On the standard size OW it is more of a gentle lift. I look forward to any updates you can share. -
DDaymos @LidPhones 5 September 2019, 02:55 UTC
@LidPhones today I experienced pushback going against the wind.. very odd because you're not actually going as fast as you think. It felt like I was doing 11 or 12mph but was actually 14+ mph even though the wind was slowing me down.
-
@Daymos
Yeah, OW pushback is a function of motor load and therefore it does change with grade and drag (wind resistance). If you got use to the calm days and flat ground rides the pushback should happen around 14.1ish MPH, When the ride aspects change the OW reacts slightly different. On really gusty days be aware that pushback and surge can arrive quickly on a strong gust. -
@LidPhones okay Iβve paid a lot closer attention the last two days. OFC the app/Bluetooth issues donβt help any, but I really think 14 MPH is the standard. Maybe 14.1 or whatever but Iβm def not feeling it at 12 or 13 MPH, itβs always once Iβve gone over 14.
-
@a_onekatie Have you informed FM of the Bluetooth issues?
-
@a_onekatie wait, bluetooth issues? sorry, i'm just catching up from being gone for a week or so.
-
Six weeks after I received my pint My accessories are finally shipping!!!
-
Ssandsurfer @a_onekatie 6 September 2019, 21:55 UTC
@a_onekatie Iβm having the same issues my top speed says 13 but I know Iβve gotten pushback a lot lately
-
@Mark-Vlogs no sorry not yet. Just been busy/lazy lol.
-
@Franko how was Burning Man and where are your pics?????
My Bluetooth constantly cuts in and out, even when I hold my phone in my hand with the app open π
-
@a_onekatie burning man was great (as always!) -- i saw Onewheels EVERYWHERE. i did bring my Pint, but in the end i only rode it twice, once on our first day, and once on the last day. the rest of the time i was too busy and guess i chickened out a bit... the playa surface was amazing this year, but i was afraid of the Pint being stolen, and also i was nervous about riding in difficult situations. the roads got very bumpy as the week went on (which is typical), but the crowds made for tricky riding for a newbie like me -- especially at night! i did talk to a one fellow floater, but being the only person in my camp with one made me decide to keep mine locked in the car most of the time. i used my bike so i could hang with my friends more easily. by next year, though, i'll be more experienced and ready to ride, i'm sure. : )
side note: i think i saw ONE other Pint while there, but he was riding by, and i didn't get a chance to ask him to stop so we could talk. i'd love to hear from other Floaters who went to the burn this year!
-
MMcFloaty @a_onekatie 7 September 2019, 04:50 UTC
@a_onekatie does seem weird this problem has existed since the XR or before, and not addressed. Havenβt had time to experience this cause I just got my pint. Could the Bluetooth connection be programmed like the indicator light on the pint, which purposely goes out at speed, then re-appears when youβre going slower? Liabilities sometimes make companies limit abilities of products for safetyβs sake. Is that talking crazy? Seems an obvious issue strangely overlooked if youβre releasing a new product... IMO Future Motion has never scored 10βs in terms of product delivery, or corporate communications. Can understand why they donβt want you looking at your phone while riding- canβt understand that they donβt explain that, IF thatβs the case. Communication is key. If this isnβt the reason Bluetooth connectivity sucks, it would be nice to know why... either way, float on.
-
@McFloaty The bluetooth needs to stay connected. It wouldn't be right if it cuts out, then warns you that you've gone past the 50% battery sometime later when it cuts back in! It also tracks your location if you're recording a ride, so it definitely should be connected all the time. They have fixed this on the XR by replacing the controller with a new firmware version. Apparently, that can't be flashed and requires an actual replacement. We have no idea if the Pint has the same issue as the XR until someone (or everyone) with bluetooth connection issues on their Pints reports this to @Future-Motion for diagnosis.
-
MMcFloaty @OneDan+ 7 September 2019, 07:19 UTC
@OneDan interesting and informative. Thank you. If a pint issue (have no reference, too new to pint and havenβt owned prior OWβs) firmware or otherwise, seems like a huge overlook to me, unless tethered to safety liabilities. Happy to be an added βsqueaky wheelβ if this is simply an oversight... hope itβs not. Happy floating- donβt wanna look at my phone while floating, but wanna know I could if I wanted to...
-
Hey all!
Iβm a first time OW buyer and Iβm super excited and canβt wait to get my Pint. Iβd been hoping since the website still said new orders shipping September that the boardβs expected ship date would be sometime in September, and I had placed my order September 9th. Sadly the estimated date was the first of October. Iβm not that disappointed, I was just hoping that my new pint would be shipped out sooner. Iβll have to update on here when I get some update on my order. Currently itβs in the queue.
And if anyone knows, how long has it taken you to get your pint from factory to door? (US) with just the free shipping.
Thanks Guys!
EDIT: Also apparently I looked up in the posts, is there instances where your Board wonβt ship with your accessories, or do they usually ship with the board together.
-
JJayWalker @DashinglyHunter 10 September 2019, 18:25 UTC
@DashinglyHunter, I ordered mine almost 3 months ago and it's coming today. It ships from California so it took 5 days to get to me on the East coast with the free shipping option. Also, my accessories are technically shipped separately, but they're arriving today as well. I think they're all caught up on accessories by now.
-
@JayWalker
First of all congratulations on your board!
Addressing shipping wise, if itβs been shipped from basically across the states, then I shouldnβt be too worried if you got it in 5 days. And itβs glad that the accessories shipping have been arriving same day with the board.Super excited now that Iβve heard from other people that have had to wait.
-
Well itβs finally been updated. No longer says New Orders Shipping in September, but now it has 2-3 weeks. I donβt know if itβs always said like New orders shipping in so so month, or has there been times when it has said new orders shipping in 2-3 weeks?
EDIT: Iβm also wondering if my orderβs estimated ship date could change to be sooner. Not to sure.
-
@DashinglyHunter Huh, very interesting indeed!
-
Long, long time lurker here. I just got my pint after about 2 and 1/2 months of waiting. By the time FM got to my order, I think they were pretty much caught up on accessories. I had ordered a fender with my pint, and it shipped later, but both arrived at the same time (conveniently when I had left for a weekend at comic con haha). Opened it up this last Sunday (9/8) and have got 10 miles on it since. Gotta say, it's WAY easier to learn than I thought it would be. I have absolutely zero experience with ANYTHING board related. No background of skateboarding, snowboarding, surfboarding, nothing. Honestly I'm not really sure why I got a onewheel, but I'm sure as hell glad I did. I'm already confident enough on it to ride it to work and the bank (both of which are within one mile of my house) and I can't get enough of it.
I almost cancelled, too.
To answer @DashinglyHunter: I pre-ordered my pint and fender on June 20th, and they arrived on September 6th.
-
UPDATE
Well Iβll be damed!
My estimated shipping date has moved from 10/1/19, to 9/28/19!! Either FM is making great progress, or I got my order in before theyβve said ships in 2-3 weeks. Iβll keep you guys posted!
-
Ordered in July, #62xxx .. Will be here tomorrow! Yayyyy. Two super annoying things at the end, though: shipping label was created Monday at noon and they didn't even get it out the door on time so it delayed shipping another day :-( And the week leading up to this it showed in production the whole time. I'm sorry but it doesn't take a whole week to put this together. Assembled in modules, IM SURE, should be within a day. It's as if they do a whole week at a time and then try to ship them all on a Monday. Crazy.
-
@RonZon IDK, they might have to do additional QC inspections etc that could add a few days. Mine showed "In Production" for three days straight. Each day after 5 pm PST I noticed the status would change to "In Queue" overnight and then go back to "In Production" once regular office hours resumed. Seems legit to me.
-
Alright this is best!
Bumped down two more days to September 26th. Iβm gettin excited. Did anyone elseβs Estimated Shipping date go down like mine has when they ordered their board?
-
MMortdecai 13 September 2019, 15:40 UTC
I ordered my pint on Aug 21st - estimate was Sept 21 (1 month exactly)
For first 2 weeks estimate went down to Sept 20 -> Sept 19
2-3 days ago my order was moved to production, at same time estimate moved to Sept 18thI just wanted to share the timeline with you guys. Looks like FM refined the production process.
Order: 6699X

Yes, mine went like this:
DWMOW ETA:
- May 29
- June 17
- June 28
- July 21
- July 19
In the end July 19th stuck, which was a Friday and I received my board on Monday.
-
@a_onekatie
I' m assuming why yours had jumped down so much was due to yours being a pre-order possibly. Its weird how it jumped from June 17th to June 28th, but that's got to be expected due to it being a pre-order.Also @Mortdecai ,
Love the order number :PI'm hoping and assuming that my board will go into production in about a week from now or so.

I ordered mine Sep 2th. Order number 68xx. First estimated date was Sep 26, then 25, 24th. Then today, it jumped to Friday 20th! Hoping it sticks! I'm close to San Jose, so I wonder if I could go pick it up on 20th, then have whole weekend to play with.
-
@waters10 Sadly FM has said before that they donβt allow people to pick up their boards due to some manufacturing policies or something.
-
UUTrider @waters10 15 September 2019, 09:03 UTC

-
CCooler Racer 15 September 2019, 15:21 UTC
I ordered my Pint on 8/19... it showed a 9/18 shipping date after ordering it, the first couple weeks the ship date slipped back a few times to the 19th during the evening/night then back to the 18th the next morning, the first weekend it slipped back to the 20th but went back to the 18th on the next monday... the last 2 weeks its been holding at the 18th except one night it slipped back to the 19th for a night...then on the 10th it showed In Production and been showing shipping date of the 18th the whole time since then... I hope it ships a day or two early like people have been indicated lately... I been check it daily, can't wait for the Pint to arrive, it will be my first Onewheel, so stoked... if i like it, which i believe i will, it will turn into my kid's board and i will turn around and get the XR.

MAKING MY OFFICIAL UPDATE
Ladies and gentlemen, (insert my board's name when ever I can come up with one) IS ON ITS WAY!!! WOOOOOO HOOO!! I am so excited!!! Also if anyone has any suggestions for names tell me please!
-
Okay one more update cause I keep forgetting.
For people who are wondering about shipping, and some context, I did free shipping (I was gonna do UPS but CS never responded to me.), And I live in Nebraska. Both the Pint box and Pint Accessories are shipping with FedEx, and both are going to require a signature. It shipped technically shipped out 9/25/19, and FedEx predicts Tuesday, October 1st. I don't remember who said it but they had free shipping, and it went from Cali to the East Coast in 5 days, so me being in the middle of the states I'm hoping that it'll come a bit sooner then the predicted 5 days. Currently its still in Cali apparently, or it could be on a truck. I'll keep everyone updated on my shipping because there IS a lot of shipping questions. Hope this helps to anyone waiting for their order to ship!
-
UUTrider 26 September 2019, 22:26 UTC
In all the things I've had shipped fed ex . . . if they say October 1st, you'll get it October 1st. I've watched an item sit at a fed ex place a couple hundred miles from me for a day, then it left there to the local sorting place then to me. I didn't think it mine would get here when fed ex said. Watching the shipping I thought it was picked up too late in Cali to make it to Salt Lake over night, but it did, then over night from Salt Lake to my door.
-
My board just entered Nebraska from Utah, Iβll have to post pictures when I get it
-

@UTrider So after my initial order in March and cancelling it, I re ordered from a local company and sat patiently waiting for them to arrive in the UK. All being well they are arriving on Tuesday and Iβm picking it up on Wednesday 16th. Excited!
What protective gear do you all wear?

@Mark-Vlogs said in Your Pint Shipping Date:

I wear wrist guards (already saved me skinned up hands), elbow pads, and knee pads. I also won't ride in shorts. Right now I'm using my motorcycle helmet . . . . no place in town sells a skate/bike helmet in my size. So until I get one of those ordered (in no hurry, the MC helmet offers a lot more protections) I look kind of funny.
And here is why I where all the protection :D
-
@UTrider Iβm expecting a few falls, I shall be buying all of the above minus the motorcycle helmet, Iβm hoping a skateboard helmet will do.

As I started this thread I just thought I would drop a quick 3 minute video of my story.
I had a cold on the day I recorded it.
