on my way home Right Now to get it up and running! I’ll report back as soon as I can 😉
whoohoo! looking forward to hearing what you think.
Oh man! I Am Addicted! Total noob and awkward AF but I am determined to get it down. That wheel is REALLY round man! I totally get the “float” analogies now lol.
Unfortunately my front yard is all gravel, and as we know, no rail guards for me yet so I’ve totally scratched the sides up already. So I’m gonna go ahead and say yes, those things are necessary if you’re worried about things like scratches.

@a1katie the thought of the scratches hurts me. glad youre enjoying it.
the bumpy gravel is good training for smooth surfaces.
If my pint turns up with no accesories next month i will go on grass only.

i agree -- the super-rounded tire was really challenging for me. i let out some air for my first couple days, just down to around 15-17psi, and that helped me get my sea legs, as it were. also, practice on grass if you can! i went to a local park and it made a TON of difference.

@Franko I’ve now logged 1 mile in my first 24 hours. So much fun. Gravel was definitely a harsh place to start, but also realized today I accidentally had it on the Skyline profile setting too! OMG such a noob!
On Redwood today, I went down to our pasture and put in about an hour on dirt/grass/trails. Getting the hang of it now!
Those scratches from my first night on gravel tho! :,( -
@a1katie scrached the hell outta my XR the 1st day welcome to the club

@a1katie nice
What's the difference between Skyline and redwood settings?
-
@Daymos Good question, it would be good to know the difference between the 3 different settings.

According to the app and the manual, Redwood ("mellow profile, slower top speed"), Pacific ("loose and buttery"), Elevated ("elevate the nose for maximum hill climbing and park riding'), and Skyline ("the ultimate experience for maximum spreadability").
I have no idea what "maximum spreadability" even means, lol

This should be used in a butter advert

@a1katie My Pint fender and rail guards have shipped and will be arriving Wednesday, Aug 7th. I'm bummed right now cuz my Pint front footpad sensor -right is not working. Have an open case with support. Hopefully they will get a new front footpad out to me soon.

oh wow -- you have shipping confirmation on your accessories? i spent a half hour yesterday being disconnected repeatedly, just trying to find out what is going on with my accessories. sorry to hear about your footpad. is this the first confirmed issue with the Pints? i don't think i've seen any other Pint owners mentioning having anything wrong yet. mine seems to be working fine. knocks wood

@Franko I think "spreadability" is the ability of the board to spread your body across the asphalt.

yes, that was my impression, too -- which is why this little duckling is staying safely in Redwood mode until i feel SUPER competent, haha
