A blog post I came across about a one-wheeled vehicle that used a tractor tire from way back in the late 1950s!

Looks like that video only works on a computer, not on an iPhone... I'm still trying to find it on YouTube, but I found another odd one-wheeled vehicle while I was looking: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m24iyhp3VV4

@thegreck Interesting contraption. There appears to be a big gyro on the front of the first model and a system of chains and wheels to adjust the centre of gravity. Wonder if it was ever further developed? Silly question - It morphed into a Onewheel!!!!!

@thegreck If ever there was a need for a fender, this is the guy who needed one the most. Could you imagine the face full of dirt he must have gotten?

That youtube video looks oddly steampunk. Probably because of his hat. I want it! I need it for driving in snow.

Amazing... It says that Taylor started development on it in 1939!
Onewheels blew people away in 2015... could you imagine people in 1950 seeing something like that?!
