Lol you got jokes. My V1 is Senior Coffee.
The board is an OG so it just seemed fitting. Got my XR yesterday. I named it "Coffee".

I turned 55 in June and that's where the idea for the name Senior Coffee came from. The XR has much more pep and adrenaline and longevity so it's Coffee.

My XR definitely has more power than my +. Will be interesting to hear if your V1 passes up the XR in that regard once you put the Two-X on it, as supposedly that is rated for more power than the XR.

That's really awesome - a few more months you'll be the next Slydog! I really liked the speed readout on the vid and the invisible selfie stick. I'm assuming you were using a gimbal/steady-cam setup, very slick stable video. You really need to stick with it, shooting engaging vids is hard to get right, and you seem to have a real eye for photography & camera work.

Awesome vid! Great sound track, great use of effects . . . and love the helmet - it's just too easy to bump the thinker, and you'll want that in good shape for many many more years - your people need people like you.

By the way, totally give you a pass on the haircut - fly your colors proud brutha.

What state are you in? You always look like you have perfect weather.

You may want to start scouting your area and planning a ride/video.

It starts with taking notes as you go (no camera necessary), thinking about what is meaningful to you, what you think others may like to see, choreograph your camera angles & speed to capture the mood of the beauty you see that you want to share with others, map your weather windows to get the lighting you want, plan and use your effects only as an accent (less is more) - journal it all, sketch it in frames like a comic book if you can draw.

It's called story-boarding in film school . . . putting the pieces together in print and drawings to tell a story with your OneWheel (Dolly Camera).

It happens for every film, whether indie or a major motion picture. You have to know what you want to say and how you want to say it, before you lay it down on film.

Slydog does it in Chicago, and I'm not sure he's even aware of it - he's not showing how rad his skills are (though that may be part of his intention), he's telling you a story of a moment in time in his city, and the sights in his city tell their own story of their past at the same time.

There're plenty of guys that have his skill, but he's (accidentally?) pulling it together with his gifts to touch others of all ages on many levels.

That's art.

You have that eye to tell a story. Find that story in your life, where you live, right now, it's there - and with your eye, you can bring it to life and share it with the world.

I'm not sure where you're at in life, but keep it up. You have an eye for composition. My humble recommendation; don't simply work on your OW skills to do vids of how awesome your OW skills are.

Instead, work on your photography & video skills. The OW is your dolly cam (an amazing tool) to tell the story you want to tell, to speak for those who no longer have a voice, to tell the truth.

Your OW skills will become amazing as you obsessively push yourself to create on film the motion picture shots you see in your head. Build your skills and portfolio, and you'll be given access to places and things by helping people see things through your eyes.

I live, and have lived, in a place (and places) with a predominant Native American presence (Alaska). Develop and use your gift to honor your people. I know the despondence and pain that exists in small villages, racked by lack of opportunity, drugs & alcohol.

The OW isn't a toy for you, it's a very powerful tool (use it, with music, film, and photography) to tell stories that would otherwise be lost.

I'm not just saying this to blow smoke in a public forum, I'm honoring two elderly Aleut people up here now gone (Charlie & Alberta), who didn't let me die my first year in the wilds of Alaska.

I decided to make a couple videos myself. I just picked up a Onewheel Plus while I was waiting for my Pint to come in. I'm not doing any tricks or anything and used my GoPro Session 4 with Quick to edit the video. Just used whatever music they had when putting these together. Jumped off with both feet. Both knees got bent sideways. A lot of pain. Not fun. Good news is I got all my accessories. So when I am in shape to ride again my side rails will thank me for a little protection ;-)
