@Ramphex
I am loving the SUP rail guard tape. I have a template to cut new ones as needed... Has kept my SAGE like new... -

I don’t know if I want to tape the beat up rails though, I wish I taped them from day one. It’s also my first onewheel so I guess I accepted that it’ll get beat up. Definitely going to tape the next one!

@LidPhones i have the sage Pint too, and my rails got beat up before i got my rail guards. i wish mine looked as good as yours do, too. i'm a bit jelly!
-
@Ramphex
Yeah I get that. I learned from my V1 that it was best to protect rails early if possible. -
@Franko
Looks of the ride is a small part of the OW journey. The miles on the board is what really factor in IMO. Not wanting to make anyone JELLY.... ;-) -
Did 5 quick miles tonight in Snoqualmie, Washington. It was a blast. Hope to do some in downtown Seattle next... This WORK thing is putting a damper on my OW mileage....

@LidPhones
Update....
- Keep the Pint bagged and all should be good with airline (what they can not see will not bug them).
- Board early as you can to not fight for overhead space.
- Get TSA pre check if possible this should take away some hassles....
Happy travels....

What airline is that?
-
@Ramphex
Delta - No Questions, if enclosed in a bag. -

How about just sticking the O/W in your check in suitcase along with the rest of your shit? I can't imagine why that wouldn't work. Comments anyone? I'm going to Oahu next month for surfing, hang gliding and (hopefully) Onewheeling. I always stay in the Waikiki area and the sidewalks there are about 20' wide not to mention the gently sloping beach with lots of wet sand.

@speedracer
You might want to be careful with that. I've had a checked bag pulled and searched. I didn't know about it until I got to my destination, they left a slip inside the bag letting me know. I'd hate to findout at my destination that my OW got pulled.
-
@Kielanders @speedracer agree, batteries are not allowed in checked luggage, only in carry ons.

Lithium ion is sensitive to temperature changes and pressure changes so therefore not allowed in the checked in compartments. The reason you see huge LiPo stickers on stuff that’s shipped by air is because they isolate all of the LiPo battery items in a separate compartment on the plane to prevent catastrophic fire.
With that being said, will they be fine in a checked in compartment 99% of the time? Probably. But I don’t think anyone wants to roll that dice.

@LidPhones nice updates and info, thanks!

@Ramphex I‘ve come to terms with my beat rails and sorta feel like they’re a badge of honor these days. I won’t bother guarding them going forward either, when I tried it after they’d already been damaged a bit anyway, it felt fussy and unnecessary. Plus, I’ve mostly stopped inflicting harm on them at this point anyway so I’m honestly cool with the “scars” I do have.

@a_onekatie I'm with it, no protection on mine, although I am more careful since putting on the fender because I don't want that to get all scuffed up lol
-
@a_onekatie
You bet. Glad to help when possible. -
@Ramphex I’m actually eating my words about never going back to rail guards since Craft & Ride put these out: https://craftandride.com/collections/hottest-products/products/superow-bodyguards-for-onewheel
Freaking badass!

Very nice, I think the wood grain version speaks to me.
