I like where it's going, but I now have to give it a decent surface finish, paint and detail it which I'm dreading >.>
Still rides fine although I now have to be wary of the bow and stern hitting stuff lol.Made sure to make it so it can lift off easy, gonna make some latches to hug the bottom of the rail since I don't want it lifting off mid-ride. Has a wooden and 3D printed frame so it's extremely rigid even with Slushy sitting in the middle.

i personally would opt for finding an image online, scale it appropriately, maybe some simple post work to clean up any scaled blemishes, print on high dpi and glue it on. like a 3d coloring book.

@NotSure Not a bad idea, I'll give it a spray job first and see where it takes me :)

@Lia smallest electric party fogger is like 400w. when operating most of them bluntly say do not touch! as in they got hot. as best i can tell, perching it all on a fender will get complicated. i need a power supply to run full bore to power a party fogger and a ducted cooling unit just to keep it concealed under a robe or something. i could try smoke bombs but i won't. Could put it all on a ghouled up wagon, and let that be the smoke fx platform. conceal the wheels. but apparently my nephew is dressing up as a cartoon dog, so... i've made my choice. less theatrical for sure but i think it'll make for some fun.

@NotSure What about some dry ice and warm water, that creates loads of mist.

Could keep a thermos with some extra warm water in case it gets too cold to work with the ice too ;)Good find on the pic too~!

@Lia lol yeah i looked far and wide for a number of solutions. i even looked up making my own. machine is easier in a lot of ways. doesn't really last long outdoors either. i wanna blast around the neighborhood like dragon ball z.
-
@Lia found this on that boat model site.
-
Lol the very first car to pass me on the street that afternoon was from the local constabulary. Loved it! "If you wait long enough," they say... lol
-
@NotSure I need to see this setup rolling around, looks unimaginably fun to watch roll on by~
-
@Lia yeah it's fun.
<edit: im not in a sharing mood>
-
@NotSure OMG I love it!
I was gonna make a Chris Pratt joke but remembered he rode a bike and not a dinosaur in Jurassic World.
-
@NotSure omg, that's awesome! haha
-
@Franko @Lia thanx everyone! it was much less expensive than i expected them to be. it's just umbrella material with a usb fan. They got small ones too. i use a 10Ah usb battery and it lasts a really long time. u feel ridiculous wearing it, but it really does look good once u get the waist cinched up tight around u. great use for ur dad bod lol. i took it for a spin around the block n a few ppl got to see it. i imagine if i went downtown, i'd stop some traffic. yes, they make small ones for kids too.

@NotSure If I hadn't already sorted my costume that would have been very tempting lol.
Went for a test ride on Saturday to enjoy a ride dressed up and get some footage in case it rains this weekend (looks like it will :( )
Here's my finished setup, surprisingly everything survived~
-
wow, y'all are knocking it out of the park. incredible work! how is mounting and dismounting with all that detail on the ship working out? i'd be scared of having to bail and breaking it.
-
@Franko Not too difficult, I made sure the pirate ship body doesn't touch the ground nose or tail side however rolling would be devastating lol.
Had a few close calls Saturday but managed to not destroy anything~ (yet) -

-
@Lia , unbelievable. Truly fantastic! Well done!
-
@NotSure I did a few coats of light brown spray paint on the whole thing then went over with a brush and acrylic paint to add details. Finished it off with smears of dark brown rubbed in with a cloth to give some texture then a marker to add planking lines here and there :)
Should be mostly waterproof but I'm avoiding the rain anyway since my skirt and top will go transparent if it gets wet.
@HorsePlay Thankies :) Been nervous the past week unsure if I'd get it done to a presentable standard in time for Halloween. You got anything special planned~?
-
@Lia , We attended Disney's Oogie Boogie Bash (a special-ticket, after hours event) mid-month at Disney's California Adventure park. Our "costumes" were simply a nod to the fall season. The event was great fun ... especially when Maleficent made fun of my "gardening hat" (which matched the hat worn by the scarecrow on my jacket). It was an excellent party!

@HorsePlay That sounds fun:) One of the things I love about Halloween is anyone can enjoy it no matter what you decide to do.
She was totally jelly though, it's a nice hat~ -

After HS graduation, we all went to the comedy cellar to see the "Make 7, Up yours" guy in nyc (i know! real headliner lol). The guy asks if anyone was on ecstacy , and literally all my friends simultaneously point me out. Now, I'm not sure, u know, cuz of the ecstacy... but i think a spot light materialized from thin air at the same time. For the rest of the night, he referred to me as "Chuck E. Cheese the Drug Dealer." Kept trying to get me referrals from the crowd. My friends liked it, but I was terrified the whole time that the police were ALREADY on their way to come get me. I managed to escape lol.

Spoopy day is here~!
Unfortunately for me.... it's been raining on and off today so I probably won't get to enjoy it tonight.That being said I had a feeling this would happen so rode around last week~

A perfect treasure of a costume! @Lia
-
@blkwalnutgrwr Thanks :)
It dried up an hour ago so managed to get a ride in on the day, lots of people out trick or treating this year which was nice :) -
@Lia the little flag actually waves pretty well lol. England always looks haunted lol.
-
@NotSure I was shocked it did. Had assumed it wouldn't since it's printer paper covered in acrylic paint but it somehow managed to flap about nicely.
England totally does, everything is so old it's hard not to think something is lurking in the shadows.

@lia, someone 'pirated' your idea ...
