OneWheel XR

Hi….I’m hoping someone here can help me. My husband purchased a OneWheel XR awhile back. On Nov. 7, he took it out (without a helmet) and crashed badly. He suffered traumatic brain injury, was in the hospital for a month, and just got moved to a rehab facility. I would like to sell it before he comes home, however I have no idea what would be a reasonable price to ask for a used XR. He bought quite a few accessories as well. Please provide some insight if you can….or if anyone is interested in purchasing, we can chat about that too. Thank you!

@tlkrgr , I am so sorry to hear the heartache you've been through.
As for selling, you might consider trying craigslist.org to reach local readers.- use the geographical region closes to you
- use Craigslist's feature to hide your email address (use their email relay)
- brush up your skills on recognizing scam offers
- prepare yourself to meet the buyer in a public location; engage a friend to join you for the exchange
- perhaps ask for "cash" or trusted e-payment method (one that you already know how to use and trust)
- avoid shipping the board unless you are comfortable with shipping concerns and risks?
The price might be close to $1200-1400 depending on the added accessories? (I'm guessing he might have purchased a fender, rail guards, hyper charger, etc -- these might transfer as "free" while using a bundle price close the current retail price of the board alone.)
My husband and I will be praying for your husband's recovery and your wisdom! {{ HUGS }}

Hi @tlkrgr, I sympathize, too. Except for the helmet I might be just like your husband. Most falls come by surprise.

@tlkrgr Sorry to hear your husband suffered an injury. I hope he recovers and you both stay well during this time <3
HorsePlay's advice is spot on, selling local and in person for these sorts of thing is ideal. -

@tlkrgr , I got a "wild" idea ... not sure if it is worth following but I leave that to your judgement.
What about asking an equipment rental company if they might purchase the board from you? (I'd consider this a safe transaction for you?)
I don't know of many rental sources ... but here are two that have earned good comments:
- SUPrents, US-Nationwide. Website: https://suprents.com
- SDOneWheel, San Diego, CA. Website: https://sdonewheel.com
Perhaps one of these might help you find a dealer near you?
