Violent "Pushback" on Elevated mode

When riding on Elevated and hitting top-speed, does anyone else hear a clicking sound as if the regenerative braking kicked in, and then get knocked off the board?
It slows down so suddenly that it launches me 5 feet away every time, causing many bruised hips and gnarly elbow scabs.

Is this the Elevated version of pushback, since it's level and doesn't want to push you way backwards?
