-let me first start out by saying I just received my onewheel about two weeks ago and absolutely love it! But I was looking through videos and stumbled across this. Anyone else see this? This is dated 2008.

Yes, I posted that link about 8 months ago in this thread, where a bunch of us were discussing the fact that the idea has been around for years, but Future Motion was the first to perfect and patent it.

Oh ok yeah like I said I am just getting started with all of this so I haven't had a chance to dig through the forums. But I definitely agree that fm has taken the electric skateboard/"hoverboard" to a completely different level than any other company. Definately the best and most rewarding purchase I may have ever made. I was skeptical of the price initially but that went away in about the first 10 seconds of riding it. Hopefully I can post some footage of the off roading I've been doing in pa and jersey.

@ahxe45 Yeah, I became obsessed with the Onewheel as soon as I saw a video of it about 8 months ago and ordered one as soon as I had saved (almost) enough money. But lead time for shipping back when I got it was 2 months, so all I could do was watch YouTube videos and read the forum posts while I waited for it to arrive. I didn't think it could possibly live up to my expectations by the time I got it.

But I was wrong. It was even more fun than I had imagined. Even though the idea had been around for years, someone needed to take that bull by the horns and make it available to all of us non-engineers who just want to shred on one.

    Welcome to the club!

@Aaron-Broward-FL I don't know what I would have done. I was actually really lucky I did a lot of research for a week or two and was going to order one off the website then I saw that a store about 30 mins away sold them so I was able to try it out and buy it the same day I made my decision.

I also was very afraid of this, while getting pumped watching videos for 2 months...
It was a big relief, finding out this thing is even waaay cooler in real life :-)
