Ok, so this is nothing new and I'm not sure if this has been mentioned on the forum already.

Given that the OW aren't controlled by bluetooth remote, my guess is that it's not affected? But as the OW are bluetooth enabled, I can't help but wonder if there's any Implications/ramification to this type of hacking. Anybody has any ideas?

"On the list of potential problems we powered board riders face, this is one of the least concerning. I would venture to say being attacked by a rabid dog or being hit by a falling tree branch are far more likely."

Yup, certainly agree with with that. I've had a couple of close calls when it come to dogs! Was just curious what can be done to the board if one managed to gain remote access is all. Thanks!

Yeah, well technically I guess there's a possibility that they could force the board to shut down, but the range of such an attack is very low.
Someone really has to hate you if they start chasing you with intent to shut your board down :P

I have no idea what limitations FM has set on the board when it comes to updates and whatnot while riding etc. And other safety measures.
Security is certainly something they have to look into even more as it becomes more common.

@germx Let's hope nobody hates me that much ;) I think FM has fixed the update while riding issue now anyway, so one less thing to worry about! Cheers!
