@SeeTheInvisible so now that you can see other people's tracks. You can essentially see your other local onewheellers....

It would be cool the app allowed you to message them or at least in some way see contact info, without assuming they know about or use the forum. So you could see if they would want to meet up.

:) I have a profilic trail leaver... in my area.... seems like some who would be interested in ridin.

Thank you for the suggestion. It is already on my plan but now it's confirmed that there's demand for such a feature :).

I'm also thinking about a meet up feature: you can search for other riders which have the "others can add me" feature activated. The searching feature works with a restriction to a certain perimeter -> and then invite them to join a ride (only the ones that you have selected can see your marker on the map...).

I had a similar thought. I definitely think it would be a good feature to add. What did you build this API using? I noticed the log in had wordpress references.

Fitting with the social aspect, I think it would be interesting if the creator of a track could attach a few pictures to the location

@drew Basically the online platform is running on Wordpress but I have made my own APIs to communicate with the app - everything is transferred over HTTPS.

@No I'm thinking about this feature since day one of the online platform -> will come :)

@Aaron-Broward-FL wait how canyou see other peoples tracks?

  • Earthpilot 8 December 2016, 00:46 UTC

I like the meet up feature for sure. I haven't seen another Onewheel in Orlando although people have told me they have seen two in the nearby area.

I bring my board to Orlando all the time :)

I have made a FB page for my area just called it Onewheel Daytona Beach. Hopefully It can be used to meet up with the local Riders and maybe start a FB OW crew Trend.

@SeeTheInvisible Would it be possible to view the OW data screen that is present when the OW is connected, while the OW is disconnected? So we could see the last known battery charge and such?

Also believe I've been having issues with my app and stats not saving, I may be doing something wrong; I sent you an email about it so we can resolve it there.

    Thanks!

@Earthpilot I am in Orlando too. I have not seen anyone else with a Onewheel yet!

@Larklen hmm, I'll consider your suggestion. Do you actually use OWB for Android or iOS?

@SeeTheInvisible I use it for Android! The current details screen for disconnected boards works great, just maybe add in last known battery charge? I'm not sure what other piece of info that is viewable while connected would benefit to being available while disconnected - battery charge would be most useful I'd imagine.

Also - thanks for helping with the Odometer (Total) bug on the details screen last night :)
