How much battery does the Onewheel use when going downhill? I see riders like @fabuz doing very long downhill rides. Can you for example go uphill until you have 10% battery left and then ride back downhill with the 10% battery to where you started?

It actually charges (regenerates) going downhill...

If you end up with 10% top hill,
going down that same hill will probably yield around 15% ending up with 25% bottom hill.

    Not quite acurate.
I do power forward going down on alot of mild hills.
The OW does brake if you tilt it back in a braking manner.

Going downhill does not automatically recharge the board.

@JacoNZ I've spent two days in my Pyrénées mountain going uphill and downhill(more than 40km road trip) without recharge my board once !
only using the regenarate system ! Awesome souvenir :)
In this case, OWbuddy app (or officiall app now) is a must to have for the overloaded warning at 90 or 95% to avoid any issue with an overloaded battery during a long downhill (of the death) !

    NIce!!
Those are some great stats for the power saving regeneration!?!?I didn't know that would keep you going that long!!
I thought it was minimal or a pr boast.

@timvdp I'm sure you know that trip man!

Morality(in these times of Hard waiting game),all you need is:
    #goodfriends
    #campingtent
    #homemadebarbecue
    #endlessdownhill
    #andaonewheelofcourse

All kidding aside, watch out the footage at 1min24(it's brief), and look at the ow nose, he' s naturally up (I ride extreme mode) and I can feel this moment the board is in a kind of "freewheeling", no brake, no accelerate, just float...and this is the moment i think that the board regenarate better ! You know what I mean? Sorry for the long post (didn't use google translate on this one :) :) :)

But I did not think you could go so many miles just because of the regenerative braking!:)...that is really good performance of the OW!!:):)
