@shattle and I meant everybody claiming every fall is on a faulty board is talking crap because sometimes you are doing something wrong, I have done it everybody has that has owned a onewheel, from what I heard I think(not know) that he was doing something wrong, every handmade thing has faults it's how the world works. Obviously you haven't been paying attention to how it works long enough to understand. Obviously some of the crashed and stuff are because of faulty boards just not every single fall y'all have is because of a "faulty board"

@Aaron-Broward-FL said in Nose Dive on Plus during acceleration:
Your pushing to hard, and trying to accelerate to fast.... Accellorate at a more moderate pace you will be fine. Even on the V1, if you "hit the gas" to hard the engine will fail and you with nose dive...
@shattle
Even @Aaron-Broward-FL knkws what's up, he knows what's happening and so do I, and I'm the only one you call out... -
Also it seems like there is slot of mixed stories about what really happened to your onewheel, this story that you posted 8 days ago
S shattle 8 days ago
Exact same thing happened to me. I sent it back, they couldn't "duplicate" the error (no shit--it wouldn't turn on); I had to pay for new footpad.(this was in a post where the onewheel ran away unexpectedly, probably due to glue on the sensor pads I know this from past experience with re griping an older board.)
But that doesn't line up with the nose dives that you are claiming to have the exact same problems with...
and if this is with different boards and having so many problems, I don't know but I think if stuff like this happens that much to you, it is probably user error blaming it on the board, the board is only so good and can handle so much. -

@OffRoadOW seriously?
-
@shattle yea I saw that but that doesn't change that there are multiple stories of what happened, that you have posted, if it has happened like different things to 2 different boards, I don't think it is a tech error and it is user error.

@OffRoadOW What a tool. You saw my relevant post about a nosedive and decided to misleadingly quote a different post about a runaway to prove....what? Are you playing to the Onewheel forum jury. Quit telling strangers you know why things happened when in fact you don't. My board turned off. How was that user error?

@JLove For what it's worth, I just got an email from FM telling me my board is back in the mail to me, post-repairs, no charge, which does not happen when FM concludes rider error. I asked them specifically what the problem was and haven't heard back yet. I'll post if/when I do, tho' FM is pretty cagey about info like that it seems.
Hi Jason,
Just wanted to let you know your repair us currently being shipped back to you, the tracking link can be found here. Let us know if you have any questions.Have a good day,
Team Onewheel -

@shattle
The word direct from FM:Hi Jason,
After putting your board through our diagnostic test, we were able to isolate the issue to a component within the battery module. Our repair technicians replaced the entire component. Subsequently, your board passed the exit inspection and was test ridden before leaving the factory to assure quality standard.
You are now ready for more Onewheel adventures!!
All the best,

Hi Guys,
I own two OneWheel V1's and they have been working flawlessly, 1 had to be sent back when I first got it (almost over a year now) for an overcharge issue, but no complaints about them.
My OneWheel Plus I've had for about a month now I want to say and at first it was tricky to dismount...I called and one of the customer service reps said I might not be used to the curved footpads. I've been riding OneWheel's for over a year, but she suggested I hop off it and test it with my hands...sure enough....if I lifted my palm up...and my front hand only covered half of the front sensor, the board's tail would drop. So that issue seemed solved for a few days, but then I started noticing it was getting harder and harder to dismount on the board. I would be conscious to make sure I was totally lifting my from heal up, but in the scheme of things, I didn't think this was a big deal.
Fast forward 2 weeks ago and I am cruising at full speed on level ground in the bike lane...out of no where the board nose dives. I ate it at about 17mph and the board tells me it didn't detect my foot on the pad. I figure it's me...my palms are shredded, as well as my elbow and knee. I get right back on the board (because I'm thinking I don't want fear to get the best of me). I get up to cruising speed about 17mph again and again the board nose dives and throws me off...now I really mess up my hands, wrists and elbow. I cruise at about 10 miles an hour to a 7-11 and clean myself up and then cruise home about a mile at about 10 mph.
I wait a few days and then start riding again....never going top speed...then I started to gain my confidence back, so I go back to my "cruising" top speed. This time the board cuts out and tail drags...I'm thinking wtf... but cool...at least I'm going to slow down...then I hit a bump and get tossed off the board...opening up all the old wounds. The kicker is....now the board lost all power, won't turn on or take a charge.
I will be sending it into FM for a full assessment (I hope). I noted to them I am a repeat customer and would appreciate a replacement board as my confidence in this board is extremely shaky. Granted it would have lessened the blow if I had pads on...but being dumped off anything at 18 - 20mph, will cause damn with or without pads to a degree. I'm not looking at a few nice scars and a possible fracture or two.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I urge everyone to wear pads and a helmet! I hope FM get's to the bottom of this for everyone's sake, as it doesn't appear to be an isolated issue.
Thanks,
Ken

@kkohlmann55 sounds brutal Ken, 2 nasty wipeouts in a row at 17mph ain't pretty. I agree with you about sending the board back to FM- they may diagnose and repair vs replace, but it sounds like they need to look at it. As for wearing pads, you nailed it. Even the best riders are gonna get tossed at some point, and as you discovered it could be when you least expect it. Heal well man, keep us posted as to how it unfolds with the board.

@kkohlmann55
Someone else had similar @Shattle issues and sent his board in.
It was diagnosed with some type of a battery module issue and they replaced it.
Sounds like there's definitely an issue with the board. -

Thank you! Be safe as well! My board went back today...I'm just hoping I get it back by a July 5th trip. Since it won't take any sort of charge or even turn on some type of battery issue / module is probably the culprit as well.
Safe riding everyone!
Thanks,
Ken
