My roommate and I were bombing around town last night. I went off a curb, then shortly after he followed. He wasn't going quite as fast as me and his tail end caught the curb with a thud. His board immediately lost power and would not fire back up. No linking lights. Nothing. Doesn't even recognize being plugged in so at this point I'm assuming the battery shit the bed, or best case scenario a wire was loose and it was just enough of a hit to completely disconnect something. Either way it wasn't like he went off a 10' cliff. It was a small drop that shouldn't have done more than knock his foot off the sensor.

He's already emailed FM and waiting to hear back about what to do next, but has anyone else experienced something similar? Hoping we can troubleshoot the problem before shipping it in and going boardless for a few weeks

Maybe he jolted a wire loose from the footpad. You can try taking off the footpad, unplugging it from the battery, than plugging it back in. Worth a shot.

I had a similar problem but not after a curb drop, just a little crash like the board just tipped over while going less than walking speed. We couldn't find a problem ourselves but the board sidebar do anything, no lights no anything it wouldn't connect to the app the blue light wouldn't turn on. It sucked and we had to send it to FM for a replacement board.
