Rather than changing the Onewheel tire in snow tires : Snow chain for onewheel with small links. Easy and quick mount and unmount system.

    Cheers ;) Sweetyxx - France

@ahxe45 -_- Not sure if you're being serious or not...What happens when you take the screws out of the tire in the spring?

@firephreek He's serious. The screws just have to be shorter than the tire is thick:

@firephreek I am actually a little serious but i would never do it. You can get studs for your car tire so you should be able to do the same for the onewheel. I don't think the risk is worth the reward in my opinion.

@polle Not in NYC, not in August...Where are you??
@ahxe45 Agreed. I'm sorely tempted. The thought of commuting (mostly) safely down the hudson on the OW is wayyy tempting. I really like the idea of snow chains though.

@ahxe45 Yes, the thread I posted had a link to the studs he used in it: http://www.gripstuds.com/1000_Tire_Stud.php

@sweetyxx love this idea and have worked on it a bit but haven't found the exact hardware to make it easy to thread on and off while tire is deflated and then re inflate. Bicycle cable is about all there is room for with the current specs and tolerances. I too think the slick is pretty much what you want most of the time and a quick mod such as a chain that can be easily swapped out is the answer for snow and ice and even off road. The tolerances are the main limiting factor so far.

@ashewheeler hey thanks a lot, yes Bicycle cable seems to be the good choice due to the small space btw the tire and the rest of the board. Let me know if you try to make something easily mountable as wished.
