Onewheel+ thinks I’m standing on it

When I turn it on, it thinks I’m standing on the footpad when I’m not, so I get that “give me some space” warning. On the app, it shows that I’m standing on them footpad(I’m not) and doesn’t say anything than that “give me some space” warning. Because of this, the blue light blinks and I can’t ride it.

@onewheeler808 This happened to me as well, just last night on my XR. Plugged it in for several minutes, not a full charge and it seemed to resolve it. Rode great the rest of the evening.
I emailed support@onewheel.com for advice. Hoping it was an isolated incident. I don't want to send it in and lose my board for any length of time lol. I will let you know what they say.

your footpad sensor has failed. Send it back before it becomes a missile when you try to dismount.

I'm still waiting for a reply from FM...

FM did get back to me a couple days ago with instructions to help with my situation. The incident was isolated for me and I didn't have any blinking error codes so I don't think there is a problem with my sensor.

First thing to try when you have a sensor issue is hitting the front pad with a hair dryer. Warming up the grip tape will let it flatten out and will often fix sensors problems.
