Leaderboard Inconsistency - (edit: Now Resolved)
-
This thread documents an inconsistency on the Original Onewheel Daystreak Leaderboard: A few Leaderboard screenshots, and then a long series of daily documentation screenshots from Saturday, August 8, 2020 through the present (and likely continuing). To me the issue is the validity of the Leaderboard, although I admit some will see it as insipid vanity. The crux is that I can and will document a slightly longer daystreak than one already on the Leaderboard.
(edit: Resolution discovered is that no rider may appear on any single Daystreak Leaderboard more than once, regardless of the length of any additional daystreaks.)

Thinking that I may have been just a half day less than #5 on the Original Onewheel Daystreak Leaderboard I decided to ride right at midnight, to toggle the slot like I have seen sometimes on the Pint Daystreak -- two riders sharing the same slot. So, by starlight and flashlight, in the misty dew I rode two miles in the grassy farm fields nearby, taking various screenshots before and after.

This screenshot from Monday (my midnight ride was just after midnight two days later on Wednesday morning) shows my vanity -- I wanted to hold two places on one Leaderboard. 'HanahsDax' had graciously dropped off from #1 allowing me to ascend to that position. The #5 'Iamjoeking' with 17 days and 71 miles is where I thought I should be.
-
On Tuesday just before midnight this screenshot of the Leaderboard shows 'Iamjoeking' still with 17 days and 71 miles. And after my midnight ride I took another screenshot of the Leaderboard showing 'Iamjoeking' still with 17 days and 71 miles. Note that I unlinked my other Original Onewheel to show stats on OW02346, and that in the two miles it moved up the mileage Leaderboard two places.
-
Curiously, after a good night's sleep of eight hours, a fresh screenshot of the Leaderboard showed 'Iamjoeking' up TWO days -- to 19 days from the 17 days recorded at 12:26am in the wee hours of that same morning! So, I thought about it, and yes, it is possible if 'Iamjoeking' rides in a later time zone than mine AND rode a mile just before midnight, and another mile just after midnight. BUT, even if that was the case (and it is fun to think about another rider out in the starry midnight just over the horizon) then I should have at least momentarily toggled into the #5 slot with my own 19 days! And that was not evident in the app.
-
So, here come my two-per-day daily screenshots beginning on Saturday August 8, 2020, the same day 'Iamjoeking' must have started his daystreak. Oh! and I am planning to ride at midnight again tonight -- and with my other board dropping off the Leaderboard I will be able to see what the app thinks my daystreak is.

The midnight ride. And HanahsDax don't worry, the V1 Leaderboard is musical chairs.

@blkwalnutgrwr That's a lot of screenshots.
Sorry if I've totally got the wrong end of the stick, is the issue that you can't seem to overtake #5 who's on the same day even if you update your streak first thing after the date refresh? -
