Doubt it, they had no reason to dislike you and we all like you :)
I'm assuming the rep you got wasn't feeling generous whilst that poster struck gold. We don't usually hear about the positive experiences so I imagine they got lucky whilst everyone else gets the standard disappointment.It's been confirmed a few times that the CS Reps at FM aren't always riders and some actually know nothing about the boards outside of the basic info they're given to deal with customers which probably adds to the disconnect between customer and an ideal resolution.
In your case it's weird they didn't at least give you a coupon, you wanted to give them money afterall the same as that poster.

i dunno... i might feel better if i got a personal note from mr. s apologizing for being so dismissive... i'd very much enjoy that lol.
